တစ္ခါတုန္းက…
သူေ႒းျကီး သူငယ္ခ်င္းသံုးေယာက္မွာ သားတစ္ေယာက္စီရွိျကသတဲ့။သူတို့သားအခ်င္းခ်င္း ေတြလည္းသူငယ္ခ်င္းေတြပါပဲ။
သူတို့သားေတြဟာ အေပ်ာ္အပါး အေသာက္အစားေတြနဲ့ပဲ ေမြ႔ေလ်ာ္ အခ်ိန္ကုန္ေနျကေတာ့ အိမ္မွာ အျမဲတမ္းဆူပူျကိမ္းေမာင္းခံရတာေပါ့။
ျကာလာေတာ့ သူေ႒းသားေတြဟာအိမ္မွာ မေနခ်င္ေတာ့ပဲ ဆင္းလာခဲ့ျကတယ္။
ဒီလိုနဲ့ ျမို့ ရြာေတြမွာ ေသာက္စားေပ်ာ္ပါးရင္း သူတို့မွာပါလာတဲ့ ေငြေျကးေတြဟာ ကုန္သြားပါတယ္။ဒီတို့ဟာ ေငြရဖို့ အလုပ္လုပ္ဖို့ ပတၱျမားထြက္တဲ့ေတာင္ကို ပတၱျမားတူးရန္ေရာက္လာျကပါတယ္။လူတို့ဟာလူခြဲကာ ပတၱျမားတူးျကရင္း ကံေကာင္းစြာ ျပည္တန္ပတၱျမားတစ္လံုးစီရလာျကတယ္။ထိုအခါသူေ႒းသား သံုးေယာက္ဟာ မိမိေနရပ္သို့ ျပန္ရန္ဆံုးျဖတ္ခဲ့ျကတယ္။
လမ္းမွာ သူခိုးလုယက္သတ္ျဖတ္တဲ့သူေတြရန္က ကင္းလြတ္ေအာင္း ပတၱျမားကို ထမင္းနွင့္ေရာနယ္ ျမိုခ်မိ ဝမ္းဗိုက္အတြင္းထည့္ကာယူေဆာင္ခဲ့ျကပါတယ္။ဒါကို ခိုးသူ တစ္ေယာက္ကျမင္ေတြ့လိုက္ပါတယ္။ထို့ေျကာင့္ ခိုးသူဟာ သူေ႒းသားသံုးေယာက္ အိပ္ေနခ်ိန္မွာ ဗိုက္ကိုခြဲျပီးပတၱျမားကိုယူရန္ အျကံျဖင့္ အနားကိုခ်ဥ္းကပ္ျပီး လမ္းျကံုလိုက္ပါရေစဟု ခြင့္ေတာင္းပါတယ္။သူေ႒းသားသံုးေယာက္ဟာသူခိုးအား လိုက္ရန္ခြင့္ျပုလိုက္ပါတယ္။ဒီလိုနဲ့သူတို့ဟာ အျပန္ခရီးဆက္ခဲ႔ပါတယ္။သူတို့ဟာခရီးဆက္ျကရင္းရြာတစ္ရြာသို့ေရာက္လာခဲ့ျကပါတယ္။ အဲ့ဒီရြာမွာ ဓားျပေခါင္းေဆာင္တစ္ေယာက္လဲေနထိုင္ပါတယ္။အဲ့ဓားျပေခါင္းေဆာင္ျကီးထံမွာ ခရီးသည္ ထံမွ အဖိုးတန္ရတနာမ်ားပါလာလွ်င္ အသံေပးေသာ ထူးဆန္းတဲ့ငွက္ျကီးတစ္ေကာင္လဲရွိပါတယ္။သူေ႒းသားေတြက ရြာကိုျဖတ္သြားေတာ့ ဓားျပေခါင္းေဆာင္ျကီးက တပည့္မ်ားကိုေခၚျပီး အဖိုးတန္းပစၥည္းမ်ားကိုတစ္ကိုယ္လံုးရွာေဖြျကပါတယ္။ ဘာပစၥည္းမွ မေတြ့တာနဲ႔ျပန္လြတ္လိုက္ျကပါတယ္။ ထိုအခ်ိန္မွာ ငွက္ျကီးကထေအာ္ပါေတာ့တယ္။ဓားျပေခါင္းေဆာင္ျကီးလည္းျပန္လည္ဖမ္းဆီးက သူ၏တပည့္မ်ားကို ရွာေဖြေစျပန္ပါတယ္။အဖိုးတန္ပစၥည္းဘာမွမေတြ့ သျဖင့္ ဓားျပေခါင္းေဆာင္ျကီးဟာေဒါသထြက္ေနပါေတာ့တယ္။ထို့ေနာက္ သူေ႒းသားသံုးေယာက္နဲ့ သူခိုးကို ဖမ္းျပီး ဗိုက္ကို ေဖါက္၍ရွာေဖြရန္ျကိမ္းဝါးပါတယ္။
ထိုအခါ သူခိုးျဖစ္သူသည္ မိမိအပါအ၀င္ လူငယ္သံုးဦးလံုး ေသရမည့္အေရးကို ေတြးကာ မိမိကိုအရင္သတ္၍ ၀မ္းဗိုက္ကို ခြဲ ရတနာကို ရွာေဖြမေတြ႕ရွိပါက က်န္သူသံုးဦး လြတ္ေျမာက္နိုင္ေၾကာင္း ေတြးကာ မိမိတို႔တြင္ အဖိုးတန္ရတနာ တကယ္မပါရွိေၾကာင္း သတ္၍ ၀မ္းဗိုက္ကိုခြဲကာ ရတနာကို ရွာေဖြမည္ဆိုလည္း မိမိ၏ မိတ္ေဆြမ်ားကို မိမိေရွ႕တြင္ အသတ္ခံရတာကို မၾကည့္ရက္နိုင္တာေၾကာင့္ မိမိအား အရင္သတ္၍ ရွာေဖြပါ ဟု ေျပာၾကားေလတယ္။
လူဆိုးေခါင္းေဆာင္လည္း သူခိုးကို သတ္၍ ၀မ္းဗိုက္ကိုခြဲကာ ရတနာကို ရွာေဖြေစေသာ္လည္း မေတြ႕ရွိေသာေၾကာင့္ သူခိုးေျပာေသာ ရတနာ မပါရွိဘူးဆိုသည္မွာ အမွန္စကားျဖစ္သည္။ ငွက္ႀကီးကို ယံုမိ၍ အက်ိဳးမရွိ ရတနာ မရဘဲ လူတစ္ေယာက္ကို ေသေစခဲ့သည္ ဆိုၿပီး က်န္သူ သံုးေယာက္ကို လႊတ္လိုက္ေလသည္။
