Feathered Friday Goes Birding off the Balcony in Bangkok Thailand
All these birds are caught at a distance off my Bangkok Thailand balcony with my Canon point and shoot. I am not processing photos at the moment due to my limited wifi. Soon I will download something I can use offline and so will improve. But for now, this is what I've got.
A pigeon in air pollution

This guy looks cool on the same fence
The crest is wild.
Now in a different spot.
A different bird - worse pollution.
A screaming bird looking for a mate gets me to come out on the balcony instead.
Did he find her? Or is this another type of bird?
I have no birding skills to let you know.

Situation Critical – My rent and wifi are not paid and now are both overdue
UPDATE: I am so happy and relieved to tell you that:
- my rent and a wifi top up have been paid.
- the money sent to my US paypal account has arrived, through Thailand to Malaysia!
A bigger post describing current events will be posted soon, but I want to let anyone checking on me know that the first part of the situation is solved and that at least I will not be cut off from the world without a roof over my head.
And I can afford to go to Singapore for my required visa trip. Can you go to Singapore for three days and spend a total of $75 USD? Watch me!

Even in a big city with air pollution, it's wonderful to see that nature still exists. The crested bird looks very cool. I'm happy to see your post - how are you making out with that air pollution? Wishing you a happy weekend. Voted and resteemed :-)
Thank you for the support @keithboone. I can hear the crested bird now. They scream. I think I got some video of the sound if I ever dig that out.
I am now in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and we have had good air the whole time I have been here. I know the air is bad in Bangkok this week and I am glad to be missing it. I'm about 900 mile south now :)
I'm glad to hear you are now in clean air. Last August we had the worst air quality anywhere on earth due to the forest fires. On a scale where Beijing and Mumbai were hitting 80 PPM Vancouver and Victoria were over 320! It was unbelievably bad and I hope I never experience that again.
Holy cow! That is strange for your area I think . We had that for a week of fires in San Diego one year and I do not want to see it again. It is not possible to imagine until it happens.
Yes, last summer was the worst on record for forest fires. From Alaska to California. I think perhaps British Columbia had the most fires, it was horrible.
Been hunting for birds but it is hard with a phone... I found feathers one of my favo friends left behind

Ha! howdy fitinfun! these are some very interesting shots....is pollution that bad all the time there? Does everyone wear masks?
The air is rarely "great," but sometimes it is terrible. A couple of those shots were on very bad days.
Yes, people wear masks @janton, and that is something to get used to for sure. Now I do not even notice, but when I first got here I had to learn to communicate with their eyes. I never wear a mask and should sometimes.
