Clicked #109: Triund !!!

I Hope you are doing great.
Today I am gonna share a post about a Small hill station situated in Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh. This small hill station is situated in the laps of dhauladhar mountains and is also known as Crown Jewel of Dharamshala.
Triund attracts tourists from all over the world as it is a very popular trekking spot. This trek is described as tranquil trek, this trek goes through a mixed forests of oak, deodar and rhododendron. One has to trek for about 6 Kilometers to reach the top.
Trek is is quite easy for first five kilometers but the last kilometer has 22 tiring curves. One can easily find lots of tea shops during the hike.
It is situated at an altitude of 2,800 meters above the sea level and it remains cut off from the rest of the world in the month of January and February due to heavy snowfall. The best time to trek to this peak is from March to May and from September to December. Trekking during the months of rainy season is quite risky.
Triund Campsite is basically a base camp for trekkers climbing Inderahara Pass in the Mt. Dhauladhar. One can pitch his/her tent under the stars to halt for the night.
Triund is easily approachable from New Delhi, just reach Chandigarh from Delhi and from Chandigarh head towards Dharamshala then Mcleodganj and from there reach Dharamkot village and start your trek.
In the end all I think about Triund is really a heaven on the earth.
