@janton thanks for the reply and while Janton the Stubborn doesn't seem to be as catchy, I do recognize the seriously awesome job you do! You have made a name for yourself in a very short period of time and that is exactly how to "lead" others and show them what can be done! howdy again sir...well, I don't think we ARE battling it out. Glen is doing his thing and I'm doing mine and if we were battling I don't think I'd be helping him so much by asking questions that require 1,000 word answers! lol. I'll be shocked if he doesn't get the CL record and I hope he does because he's truly phenomenal!
@janton ... well I think neither of you wish the other anything but the best and have the greatest admiration for each other. Having said that, it is nice of you both to support and encourage each other since you are both winners for sure! I think the competition is as much against your own standards as it is against each other, so I guess I should say that you both are amazing to watch and I look forward to the results of whatever comes out of it! :D

Seriously. We need to work on this branding job you're doing. King Glen the Great is just not working for me. Besides, you can't really have two kings. You can only have one. That's the point of a king. There's only one at a time. And clearly, whatever greatness I may have had is being totally and utterly eclipsed by janton the stubborn (his words, not mine).
I think I'll just stick to Glen, leave the rest out. I am on a quest, though to regain the CL record, however that can happen. I'm not sure when it's going to happen, or how, per se—actually I know how, it's whether or not I can do it is the question—but I do know this. It's going to happen. :)
Ok Glen... I look forward to you embarking on your quest! I think you can do anything you put your mind to, I have witnessed it over the months! And while your reign may be over for now, I still think of you as the King. But I won't call you the king as you wish, I will just watch your quest and marvel as the records fall! ;)

That's very nice of you to think of me as the king. I will try to live up to that as much as I can.
As far as watching records fall, aside from the CL record, I'm not sure which other ones I'm going to be able to get. I need to get a certain level of comments, but I don't need to attempt 1300 to get to the CL record, or for that matter to get to 60,000 points.
Still, I'm probably going to need at least 400 comments to get to 300,000 CL, even though, that's probably not a safe amount as far as janton is concerned, if he didn't really push himself last week. So, that means more comments. My record is somewhere in the 350 range. I just made up 77 from last week. I'll need another 100 to get to 400, just to have a chance to get the CL record back, maybe, depending on how quickly janton gets his yard work done.
So, up the mountain I climb. Good luck to you, too. You shouldn't be out of this either, you know. :)
@glenalbrethsen I will watch the results and wish you well... its always good to see a good "comeback", and I hope you make it... You can be the Tiger Woods of the League of Excellence... We can all root for you against the fresh legs of the rookie sensation! :P
Has Tiger Woods come back? I must have missed it. Glad to hear though. Kid's got a lot of talent, even if he did mess up royally in his personal life. Hopefully he's worked through that, too.
It sounds like we may have more than just the current 'rookie' to contend with this Sunday, since Asher appears to be signing people up from his Top 100 Engagers list he painstakingly created. You're on it, by the way. Been digging out of my replies so I haven't been back to the post to see if you made it over there or not. :)
yes he has... I only know because my Mom watches it and its on when I go over for Sunday dinner! And yes he does, but lol not a kid anymore... I think he's approaching 40 and has the grey hair to prove it!
I haven't made it over there, I just saw from him that there is a Top 100 Engagers... I will go check it out now before I go to sleep!

Well, if were talking about janton, he's not so much a rookie anymore. Not with six titles under his belt. And, we've got at least one actual rookie coming in, probably more, so we'll see how that all plays out.
I've got to come up with a veteran strategy because I always seem to be playing the rookie game: catchup. :)

Oh, I don't know. It's all in fun, I know, and I probably should just let the King Glen ride. It just has a lot of connotations that I guess I take a little too seriously for my own good. I certainly don't need anyone feeling bad for using it.
Today's been down so far. I've expected more activity with the regulars, but it hasn't been happening yet. I've been jumping around a little more than I was last week. Some people don't seem to wake up until about two hours from now when I'm getting ready to wind down.

We'll see. It's the combination of numbers, not just one or the other. My comment count isn't nearly where I wanted it to be, and so even though I've been ahead of the game all week, I need to have a decent day today and so far, I'm coming up short. We'll see what happens over the next three to four hours. I'd really like to wind up a little earlier this week than I did last week. Been on a little later most of the week trying to make up for the time I've missed myself.
We've got the new people to contend with too, right. Nothing's in the bag until the league lists post. :)

My replies aren't 1,000 words. Normally. :) A 1,000 characters yes. Words, no.
I keep track of how many comments and upvotes I make every day. I'm also now keeping track of CL. So, I know what the count is.
I think it varies for Asher. You've noticed that some weeks he publishes pretty early and other weeks it's later in the day. I'm not sure if he could set the data pull through a specific time or not. I believe he goes off his own time in Majorca, at whatever time that ends up at.
It doesn't normally happen this early. Usually, it's sometime after I've already signed off, but it's a few hours before he posts. He's nine hours ahead of me, so that would make him two hours ahead of you, right?
well sir, I don't know how the time zones work but if he is 9 hours ahead of you then he's either be 7 or 11 ahead of me I assume but that's just a guess.
I guess I don't know what 1,000 words looks like in comments. I guess I need to count one of your big ones and see how many words there are but you did a heavy week I thought, I was amazed. It helps your average go up, that's what I need to work on.
I had some larger comments this week, but I'm significantly below 1,000 characters on average, so nowhere near a 1,000 words on a regular basis. That would probably be something like 4,000 to 5,000 characters per comment. There's no way I'm doing that. Even the people with the highest average of CL on the Top 100 list aren't doing that. The highest I calculated was around 1,700 characters per comment. I'm generally over a third of that. This week, I'm just less than half, so there has been an uptick in CL over normal. Just need to keep going with the comments and hope the lower tier replies keep up with them.
well ok but you HAVE done 1,000 word comments before right? I'll only say 1,000 word comments if I'm teasing you or for dramatic effect! lol.

How anyone will get near @janton and Glen, I do not know. No score bending is likely to pull the rest of the league closer, and I have to take my hat off to them.
@abh12345 yes I was happy about that.... I felt like a slacker for 2 weeks... And omgosh, they are amazing... And the funny thing is I think they are both just getting warmed up :P .... I think some records are about to fall for sure this week!
