Stay Away From Eggs For Breakfast

   # #  What's your idea of a healthy breakfast?  For years we have heard from various media sources that foods such as bacon and eggs are unhealthy and cause metabolic diseases.  But, science has proven that wrong consistantly.

Living on a farm for many years and growing our own food, including eggs, beef and pork, continues to be the most healthy way to  go but how many of us have the time or space to do that?  Since we are able to buy the free range eggs and the grass-fed beef in the market we are able to enjoy them and they do rank at the top of the list of considerations to maintain a healthy diet.

Diabetes has become such a big health problem with about 27 million people in the USA alone suffering from Type 2 diabetes.  My doctor is contually warning of cereal and carb loaded foods for breakfast.  This is a hard one for me since I love pancakes now and then.

The University of Eastern Finland performed a study which was published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showing studies of the diets of men in the age range 42-60 years.  They were tracked for about 20 years with the purpoe of detecting the development of diabetes.

The findings showed that eating an average of 4 eggs per week only had a risk of 37% less chance of developing type 2 diabetes than those who ate only one egg per week.

Another benefit for egg eaters was the average lower blood sugar levels.

Since they are loaded with many vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, healthy fats and cholesterol it is understandable that eggs are considered to be the perfect food particularly when they are from free range chickens.

Many studies show that eating eggs for breakfast rather than carb based food such as cereal, doughnuts or muffins curbs hunger levels for the remainder of the day making it easier to control one's weight.

It's important to ward off diabetes by proper diet and exercise since diabetes affects all parts of the body.

By controlling blood sugar and loosing that "belly fat" one can go a long way to deterring the onset of diabetes.

Do you believe you should't have eggs for breakfast?

Are you aware of how important it is to get rid of the "belly fat"?

Do you think the kitty in the picture is aware that he needs to get rid of the "belly fat"?

Awwww, your title made me think that there was a vegan to beat up. :( (sure, it's a bit prickish, but they're the ones going around giving deadly nutritional advice. So fuck em.)

Anyway, yeah. Eggs are great. The choline from the yolks is great for me in particular as it keeps the migranes away.

No vegan here. Glad to know the eggs help to keep your migranes away.

Well this is great news for me because I eat 4 eggs a day for breakfast!

Wow, 4 eggs in a single meal!

I really like to have boiled egg for breakfast or even with rice and cabbage for lunch and dinner but I probably don’t have more than 4 a week.

Such interesting food combinations. I will have to try that.

EGGS! I love love love eggs. I love them so much, I had to get into raising my own chickens.
Even at $4 a dozen, that's protein for SIX meals, at less than $.70 per serving (2 eggs). Chicken, beef-- hell, even tofu can't even touch that.
I eat two eggs a day on average--but then, I raise my own chickens. That's the way to go, if you ask me.
