Poor kids also have birthright to study (True inspirational Story)

in #education5 years ago

Today I am going to tell you the story of a teacher name Anand who could do many other things in his life and make a happy life for himself and his family but instead he chose to do some good for the society and for the poor kids of his nation, story of those few students who chose to fight their poverty and became the well known personalities in the world.

The Teacher

Anand was a brilliant minded student of a below poverty line state and he too belonged to a very poor family, at the age of 18 he won the Ramanujan award for his excellency. His father was a postmaster, who always supported him in his endeavours. He loved to study mathematics and every sunday he traveled 30KM to the BHU (University) to study the mathematics foreign journal, which was only available at the University library at that time and solve the mathematical problems, one day he was solving the mathematical problems in the library and the librarian threw him out of the university mentioning that he was not the student of university so he doesn't deserve to study the foreign journal, then he replied that everyone have right to study but the librarian didn't listen, the servant working in the library told him that if he wants to study that foreign journal then he must have his article published in that foreign journal and he will receive the copy of that journal for his entire life for free.
Anand went home and alone in a room he solved a mathematical problem on the walls of the room, and that was the problem which was impossible to solve by anyone.
His father helped him to send that problem solution to the university of Cambridge in London. In return he got the journal and also an invitation to study in the university of Cambridge, he couldn't believed what was happening in his life, he loved to study and do a PHD in mathematics and he got the chance to do that but the way to London was very far away for him, due to financial issues he was facing a lot of problem, his father tried to took a loan but that was not nearly enough, he himself went to the education minister and asked for help but as any politician he behaved the same and refused to help. Anand was broke and felt helpless in the crowd.

The Struggle

Due to lack of financial help, his father started to feel low and he couldn't bare it passed away, leaving Anand alone in this struggle. All responsibilities fell on Anand's shoulder and he wasn't earning anything at that time, so he started to sell papad in his area, everyone were so surprised that such a brilliant mind is selling papad on the streets.

The Fortune

One day when Anand was selling papad, one man who was the owner of an IIT institute in that area recognised him and asked him to come with him. They went to the institute owner's home and there he explained Anand the business of coaching for IIT entrance exam and offered him a job in his institute. Helpless Anand couldn't think of anything and agreed to join him. Anand became very popular in the area and the institute sky rocket as do Anand. He was earning a lot and was happy. There was a magic in Anand's techniques, in how he makes students understand practically the problems, he was a genius.

The Change

One day when he was leaving the institute, he saw a poor kid across the street who was studying under a street light, 4w7gcvkk05.jpgAnand approached him and asked what he was doing, the boy said he had to leave his studies due to lack of money but he loves to study, that reminded him of his situation back in the time. Anand decided to give the coaching of IIT entrance exam for free to poor kids without any charge. He then took the admission exam of all those kids who approached him to study and selected thirty students out of them to give free coaching,k31oux6ije.jpg Anand would have given free coaching to all of them but he was not that financially stable to support all of them in their stay, clothing and food for the entire eight months, so he only selected thirty students and promised that all those thirty students will be selected in the IIT.

The War

For the entire eight months he gave coaching to all those poor kids ao9qevkcq8.jpgand faught some hurdles too on the way like hunger, shortage of food supplies but he managed it all. The coaching mafia for whom he was working in the institute also attempted several attacks on Anand, he also faught through it and didn't deviated from his aim.

The Endgame

The eight months were completed and it was the exam time, all those thirty students appeared in the entrance exam and all of the thirty students got selected in the IIT. That was something which didn't happen in the past but Anand's determination made that possible and he didn't stopped there he continued that Journey to give free education to all poor students and tried to make a change in the education system.
