In my left pocket I always keep my phone, in my right pocket I carry the rest.

The RAT model 2 folding knife is a very useful tool that is always in my pocket. On the homestead I often use it to cut rope lengths, to slice cardboard for wood stove fire starting, and for package opening. It also slices veggies and wood like a breeze. The RAT 2 is about a quarter smaller than the RAT 1. It's made by a USA company named Ontario Knife Company with AUS-8 steel, but manufactured in Taiwan :) It's excellent quality at a budget price. Clipped in the pocket, I don't even notice the RAT 2 is there.

I also always carry a Bic Lighter and a Ferro Rod. I'm always using the Bic Lighter to start the wood stove fire, and to burn the ends of cut rope to sear them. The Ferro Rod is good to have if there is every an emergency and I need to start a fire. It gets cold up here, I can't stand the cold and would always want to be able to start a fire. The Ferro Rod can be pulled out of a puddle and still be scraped with the back of a blade to throw a shower of hot sparks.

When I leave the homestead, I bring my wallet with me. It's a Lewis N Clark RFID blocking aluminum hard case wallet. It's a great wallet, keeps my cards organized, but it came with a busted latch! So I can't recommend this brand. I didn't want to bother sending it back, it was pretty cheap, so I just keep it closed with a large rubber band.

The last item I keep in my pocket is a handkerchief. This item can be handy in many obvious ways, I've been using it lately as a scarf for the windy winter days. It would be good to have if there was a slip up with the RAT 2, but I take care.

I've definitely been seeing more activity on the #edc tag the past week or so so I know there are others interested! The best part about creating a group/community is we can create a "member" list, this allows for an easy means of following each other and supporting one another.

I think I'll do another intro/explanation type post about it today or tomorrow!

I especially liked seeing what were in your scrubs pockets.. aĺl excellent posts, thanks for posting the links!
