Let's dive into this a little more...
It's pretty easy to do up an EDC (everydaycarry) post...
Step 1:
Take some sort of decent quality photo of what you normally carry... Often called a "pocket dump"

Step 2:
Explain what it is you carry: brand, model, etc
Wallet: "Rookie" by Recycled Firefighter
Pocket computer and supposedly a device to make "telephone calls": iPhone 6s in Magpul case
Pen: Tuffwriter Precision Press
Knife: Strider SnG
Flashlight: Streamlight Microstream
Coin: 2017 Britannia I affectionately call "Olga the Britannia"
Step 3:
This step is a bit optional, but will aid in making a "quality post" Explain why you are carrying what you are carrying...
I like Recycled Firefighter's work and prefer a more minimal wallet as compared to "the George Castanza"
iPhone for obvious reasons, gotta check Steemit somehow!
Pen because I like to be analog sometimes, but I also like it to have possible self defense applications, plus I like supporting small businesses.
Knife, a million and one uses from utility to food prep, plus this packages with shiny coins in them aren't going to open themselves!
Flashlight, this one actually gets a kind of shocking amount of use, easier than using the phone too!
Coin, I love silver and it's way more fun to play with than a fidget spinner!
And that's it! Nice and simple, doesn't take too much effort. Answer questions anyone has about this that or the other thing you're carrying and you've got your EDC post all set!
If you don't have any sort of "rotation" of what you like to carry in your pockets and it's always the same, then maybe the next day or later in the week you can do a bag dump.
I love this kind of stuff and have been active on various forums through the years where EDC was the primary topic! I think Steemit is ripe for the growth of a vibrant EDC community!
Looking forward to seeing what and why everyone is carrying
I love the magpul cases! My last 3 iphones have all had them. Just upgraded to an 8plus. I can beat the Hell outta my phones in the shop and they keep on truckin.
Yea it's kind of amazing how much protection they actually offer for the size they are especially.
I like this idea. I might need to do a bag dump. Bring on the EDC folks 😀
I haven't done one in a while. Gonna work on that tonight.
Bag dumps are always fun, so much more room.than pants pockets haha
Agreed as well. Looking forward to making one of these posts in the future. My EDC in the summer is completely different than in the winter (I have so many more pockets in winter to fill up with junk).
your post is great and interesting for me ... I like your post. thank you for sharing your experience.
Now I'm going to have to do an EDC post........
Thanks for the idea. Is the pen a specially designed tactical pen?
Jump on in!
Other than being made from aluminum and being a little heavier than a normal pen from an office supply store its not really tactical per se. I mean you can use a regular Bic pen for a lot of personal defense type stuff, you'll just have to get a new one afterwards 🤣
I don't know if you would want to keep a pen after you stabbed someone with it.....
There are other options before full on stabbing! But I like where your head is at! Although that's a benefit of having a metal pen... Easily sterilized!🤣🤣
Beep! Beep! @shadow3scalpel at your service. I am here to assist all military members on Steemit. This HumVee will be scouting posts from a list of Veterans that is maintained by @chairborne. If you are a Veteran and new to Steemit, and you have questions or want to join the Veterans community, reply to this comment. We got your six, unless you are in the rear with the gear. Ooh-Rah!
