How Do You Get Out And Stay Out Of An Emotional Hole?

All of us have UPs and Downs in our lives, infact they are an integral part of our existence. The YIN-YANG symbol beautifully explains how Life is a balance of the good and the bad. But we, humans, always have a natural tendency to like the good parts more. Sincere Part of reality is that the gloomy sad parts are un-invited most of the times. But how much they impact our souls and mental health totally depends on how we deal with them.

Here is my strongly led foundation to deal with the emotional holes in my life that works for me 100/100 and help me stay Sane.

When we are deep down the emotional holes, sometimes we think Diverting our minds is good solution - Watch a movie, Go out with someone, listen to Music.

But honestly I feel this is running away from the issue. Its just avoiding the problems for the time being and keeping a dead weight in our minds. I strongly believe we got to deal with the problematic parts face on to keep our mental strength at higher bar.

Its the mind, always the mind where both the problem and the solution lies together, it is from the mind only that it reaches to your heart and your soul and gets the power to steal you out of peace.

The solution for darkness is light.
The solution for sadness is happiness.
The solution for cold is heat.

Just like that, the solution of a bad thought is good thought.

Here is how I save my soul from emotional troubles!

Step 1 - I ask myself clearly - Does the person, the situation and the thing bothering you matters after a span of 5 years?

Half the times, the bothering situation and the people does not even matter after a span of 5 years. No matter how embarrassing or how uneasy I feel, I give myself a few hours and I FORGET ABOUT IT AND MOVE ON.

The other half of the problems which do not lie in this category - those people, those opportunities and the situations have a profound impact in my existence, I move on to Step 2 with it.

Step 2 - I command myself clearly - Girl, it matters for you, the amount of energy you are spending in being sad and disturbed about it, I want you to fix and find a solution with the exact same energy

Here is one of my favourite quotes to support this powerful saying

It takes the exact same amount of work to either make it or break it. I try to take a hold of my mind, be its master and ask it to use that energy of my existence in fixing the part, in thinking upward, in providing me a solution.

What if the situation matters after a span of 5 years and my rational mind cannot find a fix for my problem? What if my step 1 and 2 just cannot work for this big problem?

Honestly only 5 percent of my life problems make it to my step 3. My step 1 and Step 2 always help me out.

Step 3 - I request myself - Hold on and PAUSE. Have faith, God is testing you. Wait till he shows you the way. Inside you lies a solution, just pause.

I sincerely follow my three steps in all my hard parts of life. Even I help people around me through my ways of solving problems, it does work for close ones. I did not just read it somewhere, I created a pattern out of the so many wise readings and content that works for my life and my problems. I am thankful to God for he gave me the strength and guidance to actually solve my problems and keep my mental momentum strong as a stone.

We all have good days and bad days, but sometimes those bad days can take hold and turn into a bad month, year or more! When we fall into a hole it can be hard work to get out, and sometimes we need a little help from our friends to do so. We all react differently to our circumstances, but some of us are able to keep our head up above water better than others. I have personally learned some tricks that work for me, such as music, exercise, and meditation.. and of course Steem!

Wonderful to read your way of getting out of the Emotional hole. Yes most of the time we are stuck in such irrelevant matters that would mean nothing to us. Yes exactly, this morning this theory helped me get out of something in office that did not let me sleep the whole night :)

I should probably apply that to my own life. SO many times I get hung up on things. While many of them are emotional flashbacks, if I can separate the flashback from the event that occured, maybe I can let go of the event that doesn't really matter as much as the flashback. I always take note of and work on the flashbacks to heal them so they don't occur anymore, but then sometimes I stay stuck on the trigger. The trigger won't matter in 5 years. The trigger was the tool to help me know about what needed healing.

Yeah if the trigger won't matter after 5 years, just move on with all your energy.

Actually, O got trolled today, and it didn't bother me until he said something that really bothered me lol and I had to ask myself that, will this person and their statement matter in 5 years, will it matter in 5 minutes? The answer was a resounding no. It helped.

ohh yeaaah thats what I am talking about. Similar kind of sutuation happesn with me and then when i know this person wont matter after 5 years, I respond in a way that does not create issue out of things and brings peace

For me I just wait and stay calm and eventually harmony comes back into my life
