RE: Anecdotal changes. The Importance of Sharing | EcoTrain Question of the Week
It's so nice to hear your story, your veggies and food look so good! I've never tried those old foods that u talk about but I know what u mean like I felt obliged to eat a cake someone made and it was too sweet and also a friends soup was way too salty. They are very common for ppl not eating naturally they crave these two extremes aswell as extremely spicy or pungent, all things I used to like alot into the old days but now I'm just more interested in raw flavours. One of my non vegan friends was shocked to see me eat just a salad of raw veg and no dressing because she thought it would have no flavour but tasted perfect to me. It's so fascinating but I also feel quite sad for those ppl still hooked on it
Thank you. That's exactly what I am talking about. I used to feel obligated to eat a bite or two of things friends and family make and I almost always regretted it. Too sweet, too salty, too spicy, too oily, etc. Now I just tell everyone I have a strict diet, so I don't offend people. I put myself on a raw plant based cleanse for 28 days last year and have noticed how my taste buds changed. Now I can just squeeze some lemon juice on top of my salad, add some cilantro and dill from the garden and I am good to go. Food can taste so natural, clean and full of flavor if we would just stop drowning everything in sauce, salt and sugar. Thank you for your comment.
