Hi guys i came across this contest and i couldnt scroll away from it, the subject matter bothers me a lot but thanks to @newbiegames. I can use this to convey my mind, and save humanity also. So the question is.....
Which of the following 5 topics is the most important problem for the world to solve:
A: Solving world hunger
B: Saving our oceans
C: Saving our rain-forests
D: Reducing our carbon footprint

You can think of rain forests as a fuel reserve for every important living and some non living organisms on the planet.
Due to its high rainfall and fast growing tall canopy-like trees, it is a perfect house to more than half of all the animals and plant specie in the universe
One of its most important contribution to the biosphere is the absorption and conversion of gases in manufacturing of oxygen which living things require to survive. Another is the production of medicinal plants.
The tall canopy-like trees help to hold the gush of rain on the land, which decreases chances of flooding, and also gives prominence to global warming
Within the past 50years and now, records have shown that 15% of the rain forest on Earth has been reduced to 8% that means 1,500 million hectares of rain forest has been reduced to less than 800 million hectares, continuously, all as a result of deforestation. It doesn't get better because as the human population increases, so does the demand for this rich rain forest products increases, which results in a continuous degradation
This is a huge problem
Central and West Africa have recorded about 90% losses in rainforest, the remaining animals are endangered due to over exposure to poachers
Now let us imagine human beings are required an intake of a certain percentage of quality in the gaseous mixture released into the atmosphere by the combined activities in the rain forest, with the recent recorded losses,it is now unachieveable
Dis-balancing of the rain forest ecosystem is dis-balance to all ecosystems.
The world needs to pay more attention and take pragmatic actions to saving the rain forest, as this is equal to saving the human race.
Very nice post but I'm worried that maybe it's not under 300 words, I could be wrong as I didn't do accurate counting but by an average of 10 words a line & you are having more than 30 lines.

Very interesting answer. I like that you backed your statements with science, especially touching on all of the medical advances that have and could be made using rain forests. I agree that saving the rain forests would be a great step towards bringing the world more towards equilibrium.
