Making Money Online
I'm a single mom with an ex who fits every stereotype of a crappy ex-husband and bad father. I have the most amazing children and can't imagine my life without them, but it is very scary to be solely responsible for these two tiny people. I worry about the big things such as something happening to me, but also about how to keep us safe financially. To me, that means having multiple streams of income and so if there's a way to make money online and from home, chances are I've tried it.
After ~15 years, here are some things I've learned:
Selling on Amazon and eBay are solid ways of making extra money (moreso, for me, by scanning clearance shelves than by going to thrift stores). Toys 'R Us going out of business is, for example, a great opportunity!!!
Becoming an expert about something you're passionate about presents a consulting opportunity.
Being an "influencer" on social media is a real thing, and can earn you real money.
Do something you love, and stick with it. I have a friend who built a business creating tutorial videos of her while she was painting. She is doing well now, but it took years to build her business. One thing I do is sell tshirts online and I love designing them, but it took a year before that business was reliably bringing in $50 per day.
Learn about cryptocurrency. Don't take this as financial advice and don't expect to get rich quick or for it to be easy, but look into it.
Anyone who promises to give you something more in return for something less is trying to scam you.
Anything that seems too easy is a scam.
