We are always happy to share the updates with our community! In the past month, DxChain was making smooth progress and obtained several technical achievements and strategic partnerships.

[Strategic Partnerships]

We are excited to announce that DxChain has reached strategic partnerships with NKN and Etainpower in October!

DxChain and EtainPower reached a strategic cooperation to help the development of new energy industry worldwide
The strategic partnership between EtainPower and DxChain will work together to develop ecological construction:
• DxChain will provide EtainPower with API interfaces and security solutions for data storage and computing, as well as implement data storage, privacy protection, and intelligent computing in a decentralized environment.
• EtainPower, as a smart energy ecosystem, will share the huge amount of accumulated high-value renewable energy data as the important part of DxChain's data ecosystem.

DxChain Teams Up With NKN To Decentralize Compute, Storage, and Network
After DxChain teamed up with NKN, the two networks can complement each other:
• DxChain provides blockchain storage and computing solutions for NKN. In the scenario where NKN needs decentralized storage and computing, DxChain can provide technical support.
• NKN provides blockchain network transmission solutions for DxChain. In the distributed network designed by DxChain, each node is equal. If NKN’s decentralized network transmission scheme is combined, it can indeed bring equality to the network.

[Development Progress]

In these 2 weeks, we’ve made improvements including:

1. Finished implementing and testing the new algorithm for weighted host selection. Now the host selection is far more efficient than the previous one and achieves greater extensibility.
2. Proposed a new design for upload/download files with sharding. The new design shall give better parallelism.
3. A bottleneck in p2p layer was found which pulls back the performance under large scale network. Researching how to mitigate the effect.
4. Continue working on testnet maintenance and statistics.
