Hello DTube Family,

It has been a few days and here I bring you some information on Native American Natural Medicine and my personal feelings about what this means to me. Within my ancestry the Native American Natural Medicine was stolen and we were forbidden to practice our natural medicine along with our spirituality. This is a known fact and for the younger generations — including your Eagle Spirit this has not been easy to overcome. Within the last six plus years my training has been ongoing and many have taken me under their wing. Steemit has become my sounding board and a huge support, which brings me to give a huge thank you to @sagescrub for sending me a huge gift that I share in this video.

The fact that it is constant work to remove blocks that were placed on my path and overcoming inherent fears is a daily fight. Within the @NaturalMedicine community and other groups I am slowly overcoming feelings that are associated with genetic memory such as being killled for holding my sacred drum In public, holding sacred seeds, or using herbs to praise Creator. With this post I also bring you #MedicineCardMonday and include that within my natural medicine video and further explanation below.

Medicine Card Intentions

All of my readings are geared towards a healing; breaking through mental, spiritual, or emotional blocks that will assist us in overcoming every day obstacles.

If this is your first time swinging by, my Medicine Card Monday initiative is my positive intention to pull a card of healing or medicine for the community. This is different than tarot in that the cards I use are on the medicinal aspect of humanity other than the most common cards found in a tarot deck.

The decks I use are The Wild Unknown - Animal Spirit, Mystical Shaman Oracle, and the Chakra Wisdom Oracle. The cards will assist in helping those interested, find comfort in things going on in our community and the world we are now dealing with. Namely, issues around the world, astronomical, or overcoming health issues of all sorts, etc., maybe just something out of balance that we are feeling on any particular day that needs guidance.

By pulling a card for Steemit this will in turn assist with my Medicine training, give back to the community, and help those seeking answers. I will take some of the reading from guidebooks provided with the cards, but primarily give intuitive and medicinal words to help our community. We all have days when we need encouragement, inspiration, and comfort.

The Card - Fire

Meaning

Fire played an important in the tradition within the Native American culture and was present in all ceremonies and rituals. Fire acts as a Messenger and is a gift from the Great Spirit. Smoke for the fire is used to cleanses sacred items, such as drums, shakers, pipes, before ceremonial use. Fire symbolized the heart of the People and its smoke, which could also be created in a pipe, carried prayers to the Great Spirit. The Fire Symbol represents cleansing and renewal because out of the ashes of a fire comes new growth and new thoughts and ideas.

The Message

The Essence

Fire consumes anything that it touches. The flames remind us of the impermanent nature of reality, and how situations can quickly transform into beauty or chaos. Fire is passion, and its dancing flames invite us to reach to the sky. Warmth and light are heavenly, yet too much heat can scorch us. To fully step into the energy of fire is to be utterly transformed, like the Phoenix rising form the ashes.

The Invitation

Warm your hands and your heart by your inner fire. Let it burn away your hardships; let it consume your pain and your sorrow. has life become too rigid, too cold, or too superficial? Light a candle or make a bonfire, and toss into the flames everything that has become stiff and painful. Give it all to the fire rapid transformation. Set your life on fire!

The Medicine

Are you feeling too fiery? Have you been reactive and short-tempered toward others? This card has come to tell you that all fiery emotions directed at others can "backfire" at you. It is not a good idea to play with fire when you are out of balance or angry. Now is not the time to act or react. It is time to tame and befriend your inner fire so it does not scorch you.

A part of this message is translated in the video, however, after sitting in meditation regarding fire there are a few aspects we can learn from being aware of fire in our proximity. There are literal fires burning and touching the lives of our fellow Steemians and Steemit has taken a downturn and people are temperamental, nervous energies, moody, etc. For those that can, let us be a support to those that can be a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, or just be there.

Regardless of our situation and what we feel about Steemit, for those that push through this message of fire, we are that much stronger. When we stick together we not only help others but we also help ourselves. After stepping out of the fire we rise up out of the fire purified, renewed, and refreshed.
