5xSNAP? First Dtube Vlog - Failed Miserably - Anyway, NO MORE EXCUSES not to start posting on Dtube!

in #dtubesnap6 years ago (edited)

I intended this to be a snap but look what it turned into.

I have been postponing joining Dtube for a long time now. Even though that was something I wanted to do for a long time, I just couldn't start. I've came to a conclusion that I have been my biggest obstacle at that. Although mostly busy, I could have still made time to create a video. It didn't need to be daily thing, just a way to start. But no, I couldn't do it. Kept making all sorts of excuses. Now when I look at it. It's most likely the fear of failing that has been keeping me from doing anything.

I don't care any more. I've realized that if I never start DOING I'll never ACHIEVE anything. By not even trying at all I'm getting nowhere. This way, I can at least learn from my mistakes and become better in the future. I need to fail actually, in order to rise up and come back better the other day. I've never done this before yet, it is something I wanted to partake in for the longest time now.

Big thanks to @nathanmars and @theycallmedan for pushing me over the edge and not allowing me to make any more excuses. If you still don't know about these guys, definitely give them a look. They, and their contents are definitely worth your time. Both of them are providing immense value for this blockchain.

Cya in the next one!

This was an awesome 5xdtubesnap man !

Really cool, natural video with a lot of informations, mentioning and quoting good and impactful users!
I rly liked that video and I am happy to welcome you on the dtube - journey :) as you probably know we are all kind and friendly here and you have enough space to take a seat between us!

Your "name of the game" - message is rly cool and that's it surely! Everything is about the value my friend! I am looking forward for your topics (please open up some eyes!) and your upcoming videography career man! Sounds rly interesting :)

Welcome and gratulations for your first video!

I can feel and see that we will see a lot of more from you coming in the future :)

Btw: Are you in the official DTUBE discord ? Go get there: https://discord.gg/TjVj8qN and post your video and all upcoming there in the promo-channel to reach more audience and increase the chance for an upvote :)

Subscribed and resteemed of cooourse!!

Thanks for such a warm welcome @tibfox! I greatly appreciate it, along with the feedback.

Yep, everything is in the value we bring. In a decentralized world each and every one of us is the CEO of th blockchain they are using. This has never been more true than in the case of STEEM. Thus, we must work like a CEO. Obviously value is one of the most important things that a CEO strives to provide for its company so that is exactly what we should do for STEEM!

Ive seen quite a lot of your content and can tell you that you are nicely fulfilling your role as a CEO of STEEM.

I have been in that Dtube channel ever since Dtube came out. Just the same as I was on Dtube. Checking what all of you were up to but bever contributing. Now it's time to start producing some content myself :D

Thanks for the sub and resteem. The support and good intentions are highly appreciated!

Hey brother! It's really nice to have you here on dtube! Trust me when I say that there are a lot of awesome people here. I'm trying to encourage everyone to engage with people in the comments, leaving thoughtful comments, in order for us to grow altogether -> #engagetogrow
It would be super awesome if all of us did this because I think that's one of the best things about steemit. It's the engagement

Winny out... for now 😉

hey @myndnow! I've been watching all of your content for over half a year now. I know there are many great Dtubers here and you guys/girls keep constantly upping your game!

Engagement is crucial for success, its good that you are trying to encourage it.

I'm also doing my part in the #engagetogrow movement!

Cya in one of your future videos. Or on mine? :D

Thanks for stopping by and leaving such a good comment!

This is not a fail... And you are a natural. I was watching and I feel that it looks like You have been doing this for years 😉 now keep them coming 🙂

hahah yeah righ, thanks for the encouragement though! I do have a lot of ideas for future videos and hopefully successful snaps :D

Welcome to dtube :) Cool to see more steemians on dtube :) It wasnt a fail you did great :)

Thanks for the welcome @alphasteem I've been following some of your work on here ever since you started! Must say that you havecome a long way since the beginning when you were "shy" in front of the camera. I write that under exclamation marks because even though you said you feel that way, it wasnt going through, or at least I couldn't see it.

haha, Thanks a lot :) It's not easy sometimes but you do get used to it. Thanks for following along so long I've been pretty much following mostly dtubers and stuck in my dtube corner of the world throughout my steemit journey so I'm used to it, just prefer watching a video over reading a blog lol but I'm following u now so hope to see more from you on dtube :)

Oh, tell me about it :D Just started, can feel the cringe. it's everywhere, lol. But I know that it will diminish over time. Just like it did for you.

Maybe in one of my future videos you stumble upon a Dapp that you will like so much, you will leave your corner of the blockchain and broaden your horizon.

Thanks for the follow and encouragement!

Nice introduction, great to see many new Steemians are jumping on the DTube train!

I'm curious to see what kind of STEEM based content will you produce.

In my opinion, DTube is currently the strongest community out there so take your time & develop everything accordingly.

In case you need additional help, you can always check out Discords of strongest DTube-based communities: @dcooperation, @onelovedtube, @ddaily

Lets have a nice ride!

Peace.

You know for how long I wanted to get in on here. Feels good to finally start doing, rather than only making excuses like a goddam fool I was.

I've realized this in the last couple of days especially. Seems like everyone is on their top game now to bring out the engagement to Dtube. Something most Dtubers were missing.

I'm already in @onelovedtube but not @ddaily and @dcooperation, thanks for the tips!

I'm sure we will :D

Yeah I do know that, I'm fully aware of it :D

Nice to have you on board, as I said

Now we can even cooperate if we'll want to, and actually try to provide some value x2 hehe

I've resteemed this last night to provide some vision.

Fun times ahead! Enjoy your stay

Peace.

Yea, I'm sure we will be able to figure out a good collab. Just let me get the ball rolling first and get ahead of myself with the content I'm posting.

Having to make the vid I'm posting that day, is stressful enough on its own. I need one or two ready for posting so that I don't have that annoying pressure, pushing me to sell a half baked bread.

Thanks for the exposure!

Oh, it will be much more than just fun times :D

✌️

Just practice a hell lot!

Speak speak & speak...

People don't understand the struggle of having a russian accent but I do, I have it myself

So practice your story telling & articulation as much as you can... Thats crucial I feel :)

And yeah, practice the strength of your voice - the stronger it is, stronger impact you'll have

OM mantra is a great point for strengthening it but it as well gives you peace from inside... So that could be a great starting point

Or you can just rap & spit freestyles :D all in all... Storytelling, articulation & voice strength DO matter :)

Peace

Oh, the russian accent, yes. I feel like people do understand us though. Or at least give us an extra point for trying, when they realize we are speaking like drunk russians :D

Speaking isn't as big of an issue as my fucked up memory is. Staying on point is hard. Flying away to something unrelated and not being able to come back. Sticking to the point. That's an issue I'll have to deal with first.

Completely agree with you on that! Our voice, and the way we pronounce words can be very powerful tool if we use it correctly.

@theycallmedan said something very meaningful about this

Always stick your tongue to the roof of your mouth when ever you can. The tongue sends an electric charge to our brain that activate trillions of dormant brain cells.

I've tried it out and can tell you that the difference can be felt. My words feel more impactful when I consciously try to do that. Give it a shot!

Thanks for the valuable tips bro!

✌️

Yeah, that does sound like a valuable tip.

Thank, I learned something new :) that's always appreciated

About the part Where you can't stay on track. It happens cause you are not effective in English thinking as well as thinking in your native language

How I usually solve that:

  • mindfulness -> trying to be aware of what I'm speaking, focused on my breathing constantly as it plays a huge role

  • slow-down -> If you feel like its just to hard to keep up, by all means slow down - and this won't impact you negatively, actually it will help you to develop your story telling even more & have more impact

  • yoga -> I guess you didn't see this 1 coming :D but after a great session of yoga you are much more connected to yourself and therefore can engage with English better - it will as well help you to breathe deeper & therefore be able to slow down easier

  • have a small piece of paper (really small); where you have all the crucial points you want to cover throughout the video. As you are recording, make sure to give it a peek here and there

By the way if you are interested in trying yoga out, feel free to DM me and I'll tell you where you can join me.

Peace

Thanks for the tips!

I'll definitely try to implement them one by one to see which boosts my communication skills the best.

Slowing down might be the crucial one of them all. I feel like my mid is constantly racing and I just can't put my foot on the ball and chill out.

But, practice, practice and more practice is what I need the most.

HAAa! Cool to hear your voice!!!! Welcome @runicar
