Dtube Snap // What Has Been A Defining Moment In Your Life?
Hi Friends!
I think I’m going to leave my laptop behind when going to Steemfest, so I’m trying to do more Dtube snaps to get comfortable with uploading content from my phone!
I like using these little snap videos as a way to hopefully spark conversation and help us get to know each other better.
Earlier today, one of my coworkers bought coffee for our entire department and we ended up going for a walk to enjoy our tasty treats. He asked a question that ended up sparking all sorts of interesting conversation and storytelling. I thought it was pretty cool that he was so intentional about starting a good conversation... so I thought I would pass along here.
He simply asked us all what a life defining moment was for each of us. For me, the one I shared was that a few years ago I became a certified white water raft guide.
For someone who gets quite a bit of anxiety around unsafe situations - being on the river that much really pushed my comfort zone and boundaries. It was a total growing experience for me, and whenever I get freaked out about something, I can remind myself that it won’t be as scary as that was.
So what has been a life defining moment for you?
I am so excited to hear some of your stories! Sometimes our most life defining moments aren’t even stories, but are just random conversations or things we have heard that have totally shifted our perspective.

The most defining moment for me would be giving birth to my first son - something that mothers are not prepared for but yet it happened. The moment the doctor "plop" the baby on my arm, my whole world just melted away, despite the exhaustion and the pain. Well, till today I was still in awe how I withstood the pain and gave birth in silence. But the 2nd son I did scream. Haha.
I loves these snaps! Especially as our attention spans get shorter and shorter. What if you broke this stodgy old 1 minute model and did a TEN SECOND SNAP!!!! Lets get crazy!!
Oooh man. I don’t know if I can handle that! Hahah
I have to do so many takes to get my video to under 1 min already. 😅

I am anticipating a life-defining moment in the next week or so. My wife and I are expecting baby #6. This little guy has 5 big sisters who are going to love on him.

My life defining moment was when my grand mother said that"What he can do,you can do better.Never give up trying"when i 1st failed in my life.That was my motivation and still i am following that.She passed away few years ago but still her speech motivating me.Thanks you.
Nice! I would say studying overseas in denmark. The culture shock on the first day is amazing. Changed my life.

Good day for me it were to moments:
1 when I choose my profession and specialty when I was entered to university. This moment defind my life and time table at nova days.
2 when I choose my technical hobby. Thanks for it I met many friends and interesting people. As so as I cam meet my hobby mates in foreign countries I always know that in need we will always help to each other.
So that's why in my opinion this moments defined my life!

ok so let's see. I think the a defining moment in my life was when I left France to live in NYC. My life changed completely then, as I went through struggles, failures and successes. I would say that my view of the world shifted completely.
The most defining moment of my life? Probably that one @dollarvigilante video I've watched where he just mentioned Steemit for a slight second or two. That was the only thing I needed to be intrigued enough, google it and make an account. I've been here ever since and it literally changed my life for the better.
Couldn't imagine a life without it.
