Welcome to my step-by-step video and blog post on how to sign up to the Steem blockchain! You have two options to join steem: you can sign up for free (the downside is it takes up to 2 weeks to be approved) or you can pay a small one-time fee via various services to sign up and get an account instantly. I am using @steem.ninja as this is a service powered by @oracle-d and you can easily sign up and pay with a credit card. They also offer a referral program, meaning if you sign up through my referral link I get a small commission at no additional charge to you. So here are the steps to sign up to Steem free:

Step-by-step guide to sign up to #STEEM free:

• Go to https://steem.com and click on ‘create an account’
• Click on ‘Sign up for free’
• Enter a Username and click ‘continue’
• Enter your email address
• Select your country code and enter your mobile phone number
• Enter the confirmation code and click ‘continue’
• Wait up to 2 weeks for an email with confirmation

• Go to https://account.steem.ninja?ref=tanbay or https://account.steem.ninja (non referral)
• Click on ‘Steem account’
• Read the important notice and lick ‘I understand. Continue’
• Choose you username for Steem and click ‘Validate username’
• Backup your Owner Key, Active Key, Posting Key and Backup Password, tick the box and click ‘Continue’
• Tick the box and pay either with Paypal, credit card, Ethereum or redeem a voucher
• Enjoy your new Steem account!
