An infrared stroll through the woods
I had an opportunity to explore a few acres of private property in North Georgia. I am using my glide cam mount to get some smooth video, though I really need to build a wrist support system has its hard to hold for long periods of time.
There was a downed tree on the property, it was pretty big as it was a few feet in diameter. Im sure it was quite loud when it fell... Though if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it did it really fall? Well yeah see in the video it sure is downed though I was not there when it fell.
I also record video of a very strange growth on a tree, its like it was forming a second trunk at one point and then stopped leaving a five foot gap.

@melinda010100 you're right, it was in the afternoon and gave the trees some long shadows. That whole area was quite alive, with a stream running through the area. I have lots of photos and more videos from this area I'll post soon. Thanks for the comment

It would be interesting if they knew the history of that piece of land!
I love those sassafras trees that always hold on tight to their leaves. I think they add so much beauty to your southern woods.
@melinda010100 I think we have those around here. I tend to see one or two trees out there holding onto their leaves.
