DTube Exclusive Vlog | Jealousy Here On Steemit?
Hey DTubians!
Melissa Kellie here... So today i want to talk about Jealousy, I've noticed a lot of Jealousy going around the Steemit Platform and also on Discord Chatrooms lately, Whether it be Vloggers jealous of other Vloggers or Musicians being jealous of other Musicians. For me i'm really happy for people that are doing well here on Steemit and i'm happy for people that get up-votes on there amazing post, I also feel bad for people that put so much effort into there content that get's missed. Sometimes when i read some jealous comments i go to there channel and some of them have really good content! So i do really feel bad for them.
I think what the problem is also is that there are far few up-votes in a 24 hour period so a lot of great content is being missed... but i feel like we should all be celebrating each others success here on Steemit and not trying to bring each other down by being jealous.
Let's all try and help eachother through this journey and grow together and not against each other. This is not aimed at everyone just the certain people that may be feeling this way at the moment... just something for your guys to think about :)

Many times we upload original music videos to Dlive and Dtube. Some videos have a high rate of praise, some videos have a low rate of praise, and those videos with a high rate of praise are really happy for them and they have a low rate of praise. Video does not have to be discouraged and jealous. As music, it is more communication and learning! !

yeah @melissakellie you are absolutely right I have also noticed that particularly in discord ...I don't know why people feel jealousy and I think they are harming themselves more than us because the jealous are troublesome to others, but a torment to themselves.

You are so humble and kind. I love this post. I post a lot of my songs on dtube because I am passionate about singing and wether I get upvoted or not I feel the same way. I love posting here and I love being one of the early creators in this platform.
Sometimes our abilities get to our head and we think we are better than others that we dont want others get upvoted. In the long run it’s not going to be good for everyone. It can be really mentally tough on here sometimes for sure. I have been on here for almost two years and this has always been an issue. Some of it is justified and most of the community will agree that some people are getting what would be considered an extra ordinary amount for the work they are putting in but really when it boils down to it everything on STEEM is 10% about the content and 90% about how much power you and your alliances have really when it comes down to it.
That is personally why I think a model like this would work best with an additional non intrusive ad revenue model that would be shared with the community as well.
But yeah..... it is natural to put some sort of value on our time and have some sort of expectations and when that isn't met it can be frustrating for sure.
One thing @papa-pepper says is that everyone talks about Buying Low and Selling high when it comes to investments. But it is 20X harder to "Blog Low and Sell High" Simply because we have some dollar amount that we associate with our time and if it is way below that we feel ripped off.

It is much harder for people to succeed on here when they haven't got much SP to begin with but if they are part of the community they get what they put in if that makes sense :) Thank you and i hope you have a lovely day
