If you have not looked into the benefits of a ketogenic diet, you are probably killing yourself slowly with a fork. Your cells thrive on protein and FAT. Cancer cells thrive on sugars and carbohydrates. Dr. Eric Berg on youtube (do forgive him for that...lol!) is just amazing in his willingness to teach and encourage people seeking to be HEALTHY what to eat and WHY. But healthy is no good without happy, so here is one of our favorite treats, a recipe I made up one evening when we were DESPERATE for a sweet. We had just quit smoking too, so, willpower was low. We did Atkins years ago and destroyed our thyroids eating aspartame, so we do NOT use artificial sweeteners of any kind.

Dr. Berg recommends doing "intermittent fasting" along with keto, and it has been a real breakthrough for me. It is basically skipping breakfast, and counter-intuitive as it seems there are some tremendous benefits. Do check out his videos too, we watch one every few days to keep us learning and motivated.
