why would they watch this? By definition their own views are in conflict with everything Carey is talking about. They view all the things she describes as 'negative' to be 'positives' that are Necessary Evils; to keep them and their privileges in tact. Just saying - it's not in their nature to entertain differing Opinions from the ones they hold dear - conservatives 'conserve'; they fight 'change', 'new', 'different' - sadly, your friends are all for Police brutality towards 'poor' - black & brown - anything to Maintain Order; it's sad that Conservatives are so small minded; so unconcerned with truly building a better world; so bent on destruction; ongoing destruction; all to say they have 'dominion' over others on 'earth' --- such, small, minds.
One can still hope though, right? It drives me nuts though, how much hypocricy there is in these insane leaders of both the so-called Democrats and Conservatives. I know otherwise very intelligent people on both sides of the aisle, I can usually find at least one or a few things we agree on in common, but in the end I still see a LOT of close-minded pig-headish blindness from both. Hence... Why I generally refuse to identify myself with the "DNC," even though I otherwise don't disagree with everything they supposedly stand for and why I always end up somewhere in the middle between progressive ideals and more libertarian ideals, because they don't always intersect. I know a lot of people who call themselves Libertarian who are much more "conservative" in the way that you describe -- thinking they have dominion over the earth... supporting the destroyers and refusing to ever consider change or a better way while simultaneously sincerely believing that they are somehow SAVING the world........ yeah. Sigh. Too much insanity in the world. But I can always hope that I might reach them someday.

Just a friendly tip: You might want to refrain from posting old articles. @cheetah will start flagging you and all of your future posts will also be flagged.
Especially considering you have been published on the internet previously and received a decent number of views on those publishings, @cheetah will find those and begin to automatically consider you a "spammer", or "plagiarist".
Also, while this article is interesting. It's from 2015. Today is 2018. Some of the estimates of "the future" are from 2016. Does it maybe make sense to update the article with more recent statistics? The issue is still relevant, and there must be more updated statistics that you can use?

Nice to see you on Steemit, Carey! Lurked your YouTube videos for a long time. I'm a libertarian, but I've gotten sick of the atmosphere among libertarian circles for a large part. You're one of the level headed ones that I still like.

Word. I am somewhere between Libertarian and progressive or liberal (in the TRUE sense of the word liberal -- not the current two-faced backwards stupidity of the current faces running the DNC, who in most ways IMO are indistinguishable from their equally corrupt counterparts currently running the GOP). I am often alone in the world of political views I guess, ha ha. But it seems to me that I am going to like being here on Steemit, and I agree-- I also appreciate Carey and her real talk, a lot.
Annnnnd if you hadn't fixed that typo, I would have. I can't help it. Must proofread, all the time, everywhere.. It's my nature... x-D

I usually proofread my own as well. And then...... I often try to purposefully ignore my natural instinct to ensure all sentences conform to perfect sentence structure... cuz.... yeah. I figure I need to let up, ha ;D
