hey friends, how are you, today I bring you a version of "Africa", song of the Californian band Toto. The song was included in its disc "Toto IV" of 1982 and reached the number one in the Billboard Hot 100 chart in February of 1983 and the number three in the Singles Chart of the United Kingdom the same month. The song was written by keyboardist David Paich and drummer Jeff Porcaro. David Paich sings the two verses of the song, while Bobby Kimball and Steve Lukather sing in the chorus. "'Africa' is a climax in the eighties music, it is completely of its time", the popularity of the song is served by the fact that it is a very well conceived piece of music, with percussion impulses, layered harmonies and a chorus of anthem. The lyrics can be a bit difficult to understand, a common case in the songs of the eighties, where even after listening to the words, you may not find any sense.
