Title: Necessary Shift

Hey guys! So this one really kind of came in the moment; it was more a break for me than something anyone needed moving forward. Currently, I'm working on a bunch of more high-energy music, and I was noticing my ears getting a little fatigued. Not wanting to lose creative energy, I figured I'd just fiddle around on piano for a bit and see what came out. I enjoyed this little snippet of my fiddling, so I tidied it up and bounced it down. It's nothing official, but I liked it.

I named the piece-in-progress 'Necessary Shift'. Being more of an underscore piece, it almost has a sense of duty and power in the beginning of the progression, while then moving to a much more melancholy ending. I envisioned a scene where a young warrior loses a beloved mentor/leader in a battle. This song would be the emotional contrast between knowing that they are now responsible for protecting and guiding their splinter, while simultaneously mourning a loved one.
