Looking Back

Sometimes in order to appreciate what you've achieved, you have to look back to where you've started to see the progress.

I've always wanted to draw but have never thought I could, I've always said I have no talent, which is true. Truth to be told, even though you don't have talent, you can learn.

Today was the day for me to look back and see where it all started. It was 2016, March 7th to be exact, with this drawing.

I remember how proud I was after finishing this drawing. I knew it right away that has flaws but this was the best I could do. I'm not going to list the mistakes I made :)

I made this drawing tow years later, for a Steemit drawing contest.

Looking at these drawings I remember how fun it was to make these drawings. I was searching for drawing contests and tried to join as much as I can. It wasn't about winning or creating an art of work, it was about having fun.

Some of the drawings are really childish but this is actually good, although now with the experience I have, would do things differently.

Once I saw a post here on Steemit, it was a challenge actually about how far you'd come. You supposed to take a drawing older than six months and draw it again to see if you can do it better.

I was at the beginning, didn't have old drawings, nor experience, but I've promised myself I'm going to do it one day and I guess that day has come.

It's time to redo some of my old drawings to see what have I learned in 10 month.

In any case I'm really satisfied with what I've accomplished even if some people think that's nothing.

I'm doing this for myself, it's for having fun, a way of relaxing.

Who knows, my drawing skills might get better in time, or not, but I'm happy with what I've accomplished. I'm not afraid of taking a pencil in my hand and try to do something. if I fail, that's all right. At least i know I've tried.

I have a few good works and this is one of them, I'm actually satisfied with it.

And this is the other one I like.

I hope I can draw more soon and will be back with some new works.
