What Do You Think About These Disturbing Things Regarding YouTube Trending Videos Revealed By This Analysis?

Personally I don't even look at the trending videos. I mostly stick to my somewhat large list of subscriptions I've figured out over time. Before answering please watch at least the first video:

The second video goes into more details of the research process for those who want more insights and transparency

  • It's Just Moderators Censoring Content For USA. Just Use VPN

  • This Is Unfair Attempt To Keep Power Consolidated Among The Big Corporations

  • It's A Result Of PC Culture and Combating "Fake News"

  • It's Disgusting Censorship

  • Who Cares? I Don't Even Bother With Trending Vidoes

  • I Smell A Conspiracy

  • There Is No Conspiracy. It's Just Bias

  • This Video Has Bad Research. YouTube Trending Is Fine

  • Did you know that ThemTube used to have a trending page?

But, they got rid of it because too many truth videos kept trending.

T.H.E.Y. will do anything to control the narrative.
Boogle, F-c-book, ThemTube, how do they keep running while being in the red all the time?

ThemTube fucks with the followers. Lowering the number, kicking people from followers, unsubscribing....

ThemTube fucks with view counts.
There are people who have watched the number go down.
There are people who know that more people clicked on their email link to watch the video then there are views.

Copyright is used as harassment.
I know people who have their videos copied and uploaded by someone else. And ThemTube takes forever to respond to the blatant copyright violation. (that can be completely proved on their site)
But, if someone uploads something, and they are on the hit list, even if it is precisely and exactly "fair use" it is now being banned even before listing.

It has nothing to do with censorship or copyrights.
It is all to do with controlling the narrative.

Let's add the fact that unless you are part of a Multi-Channel Network, you can't even properly fight those copyright problems:

That is very true. That is happening. The problem is that are violating the 4th and 1st amendment, for example, as they function as platforms and as publishers but without liability. Government must discontinue black contracts with big tech in order to disassemble liability protection.

Government must discontinue black contracts

Exactly! Private companies should be kept private. If they still want to censor, they'll need to be transparent about it. The problem is government and big tech are in bed together and everyone is masquerading as if there is freedom and fairness. I don't oppose to a private company saying they don't want certain kinds of content on their platform. But they better come clean about it.

What is bi tech? Is that sort for bio, as in biological technologies? How about bi as in two, like bicycle? Oh, you mean big tech. I guess I was joking. I understand.

Yeah, it was a spelling mistake.

  • It's A Result Of PC Culture and Combating "Fake News"

To be fair, there were multiple different answers that would be right to the question you asked, but my two closest ones were PC culture and power consolidation. These two things actually aren't disparate things, but interconnected in many ways. This is because to combat "fake news" as the 4th estate sees it, requires removing the influences of alternative and independent news sources. This serves both the PC SJW cause and the overall attempt to consolidate power around established news outlets and their parent corporations. In some ways it's also both a conspiracy and bias, as one easily begets the others.

Here's another example not mentioned in the video, where is @rt-international on there? They have the most views for any news outlet on YouTube, totaling in the billions, yet they seem to be utterly absent from the trending results. I'd be curious to see if they show up in the trending data for other countries, as that would mean that they were being hampered here in the states artificially, most likely by human moderators.

Course, the other correct answer on here is... don't bother with the trending results. I certainly don't, I only look at my subscriber feed, which is itself biased in how it shows content.

The research for this video was excellent, and I think the guys who did that should be personally recognized for the work they put into lifting the veil on the rather shadowy way in which YouTube picks winners and losers.

Good portion of USA hates @rt-international and they are real journalists by choice or by adapting to compete with mainstream darlings like CNN. The behavior of YouTube and mainstream has been like this for years. Here is a video from almost 4 years ago:

Here are few other great uploads from Coffee Break:
