We rescued a dog !

Yesterday while chilling on the porch in heard an unbearable howling for a longer time. We have a lot of dogs roaming in the area but they always always go back home

But this one sounded different. This only sounded like it was in distress. As I overlooked the area I saw a big dog in the other side of the trench walking up and down. The other side of the trench has a fence right next to it, so the dog couldnt get out from there.

Remember Caribbean sun can make you pass out very fast.

We decided to take some left over plyerwood and make a bridge over the trench. With some help from people passing we got the dog out!

But he still looked lost and dehydrated

We decided to give him some water and see how he was doing. After gaining some trust he jumped into the car with me.

It was labour day yesterday.

Not very convenient, because all the vet clinics are closed then. So we couldnt see if he had a chip or so. So we decided to take him home for the time being.

But we also have a little terrorist at home. And this was was being very territorial! Like VERY

So not a perfect match.

We took our orphan to the beach for a bit so he chill and not be harassed by our own dog. But this Orphan is BIG!! Doberman style big. Wauw what an animal.

In the end we got someone to see if he had a chip and he did.

What a relief!

At least this dog belongs to someone ans this morning we got a call from the owners. They were happy to have him back! Apparently he broke out while chasing some goats on the mountain and he had travelled very far and got lost.

Finally on the way bringing him home these two got along. Dont they look peaceful!

Even its one of my last days here on the island, I couldnt imagine spending it better than getting a dog back home.
