This seemed like a great place to post this question/idea.

My name is Sheona, I'm a Canadian documentary filmmaker and have recently been given an opportunity to start development on a feature documentary about cryptocurrency for the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation).

If I play my cards right it is possible that we can go into production on this project by Summer.

I've been studying and trading in crypto for only a few months. I've watched all I can on the subject. I'd like to make a film that goes beyond the technology, that goes beyond Bitcoin and really explores the people/the context/the politics/the emotion & passion.

Cryptocurrency, as a subject is a macrocosm that is conceptual and big - I want to find a microcosm that illuminates and illustrates the macrocosm in a way that viewers can relate to, even if they aren't in the space themselves. Something visually dynamic, entertaining and engaging. Perhaps this is working with a start up company, perhaps this is working with a town that is dedicating itself to mining, perhaps this is exploring the role women play in cryptocurrency (if so, what women? Is there a group of women that are using this technology to make change?), perhaps this is following one remarkable character.

I have to have a tie to Canada, but the film doesn't have to be solely filmed here.
