There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about." - Margaret J. Wheatley

Well said. That's why I'd love to discover more about the things YOU care about!

As many of us may have heard, there's a tool in the pipeline that is supposed to improve the community building on the Steem blockchain. It was first presented as the 'community feature' and is now treated as 'Hivemind'.

With these perspectives in mind, I'd like to engage even more with my followers - you! I'm pretty sure we've got a lot to talk about :-)

To stimulate the interaction, I will publish a series of questions during the next weeks that will enable us to interact, share ideas and come to know each other even more. Today we start with: this one!

There are rumors that you can't set up a community - such as it is defind in 'Hivemind' - with your already existing account (in my case, for instance: @surfermarly). That's why I opened a separated account which I'm planning to use for the new community.

Soon I'll let you know how it's called!

Independently from the name, as you may imagine it's all going to be about surfing, beach and life balance! A real surfer's paradise on the blockchain...Are you in?

So stay tuned for the community of cool vibes though :-)

Much love,
Marly - ๐Ÿ’œ

PS: In a world that is dominated by (bid) bots we can't have ever enough real social interaction - can we? :-)

Any idea why you canโ€™t use your primary account? Thatโ€™s an odd rule! ๐Ÿค”

I really can't tell you. Also it hasn't been officially confirmed yet. Maybe it's mandatory to have a new account since the accounts need to have generic names. Like e.g. you wouldn't call your own community @makerhacks but maybe rather @thehackers or @hackers or sth. like that?

Again, these were just rumors. I wanted to have an account with a cool generic name related to surfing, so I bought myself one (via anonsteem) just in case :-)

I would love to learn more about life balance and lessons about life from you.

Because I believe that a surfer is one of the freest soul in this world and yet a surfer has to make a perfect balance, as not to drown in the waves.

I would love to know more about your perspective on living the life.

So this is a welcome move from me as one of your follower.

ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR NEW QUEST.

Thanks for your kindness, @looftee! I'm happy to have you with us :-)
Surfers are definitely free souls and they're also quite relaxed people - unless you steal their waves, haha (actually no kidding).

It's actually not my quest but ours :-)

I am always with people who are more enlightened about life and think more freely than a limited and occupied person.

And yes, our quest of a better and free life.

Can we call soon champ? Hope all is well!

About the question you raised on the clip, I tend to believe that everything happens for a reason. I also believe people meet by chance, although for a reason still.

Back in my high school days, a friend usually says

Everyone is important, both the good and bad ones. The badass ones are there so that we know that is not good to be like them.

BTW, how did you put this one as a link to the video clip? Teach me please.

I am happy you are back to being healthy @surfermarly again.

I tend to believe that everything happens for a reason.

Well I like to believe it, too :-)
It's somehow a fascinating thought that there might be something that holds everything together. Also I have lived so many situations where I was almost sure that it couldn't have simply happened by chance. I'll write about one experience in my blog soon :-)

OK, let's go, here's how you can include a link in your text:

  1. If you do your blog post in raw html mode (like me), then this would be the code fragement to use:
    "< a href="put the website URL here">put the text you wanna link here< /a >"
I left some spaces between the < and letter 'a' in order to get it displayed correctly here, which you can't do then in the code.

  2. If you use markdown to do your blog post, then it's like this:
[put the text here] x (put the website URL here)
Again, don't leave a space between ] and ( where the 'x' is now, which you'd delete then.

Hope I was able to explain it in easy words :-)

I am happy you are back to being healthy @surfermarly again.

Me, too!!! In 9 days from now I'll be surfing again - can't wait :-)

Have a great day!

PS: Nice quote from your friend though!

I look forward to reading your future posts on:

I have lived so many situations where I was almost sure that it couldn't have simply happened by chance. I'll write about one experience in my blog soon :-)

Thanks for the explanation. Although my curiousity is on how the link still led to the video. I thought we can only get links to posts after it has been published. Unless, you edited your post to put the link after publishing.

9 days is not far again. ๐Ÿ˜€. Let the countdown begin. :-).

Just between the two of us: I edited it :-)) hehe

I strive not to be a man of success, but rather to be a man of value.

Well then welcome on board! :-)

For sure everything has a reason, as far as I concern. And the reason why we are here is to enlarge knowledge and meet nice people. Share information and be close to people all around the World.

i believe that working hard is simply not enough. you always have to depend on the luck factor. And often, luck lurks around the corner.... it could be the people whom you speak with, the food you ate, or just an epiphany that changed your whole perspective of the world.

You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:

That's why I opened a seperated account which I'm planning to use for the new community.
It should be separated instead of seperated.

Well, if you are pointing out such small things, I believe it should be separate, not separated.

We all make mistakes. So it's better to point out things that someone did perfectly and motivate them instead of pointing out their mistakes.

Spot on! Thank you, I've just corrected it :-)

To answer your video clip question. Yes things do happen for a reason, but somethings happen because life happens. What we do with them and how we choose to act are the important things.

As far as chance meetings, I believe those can also happen for a reason.

The chance of me meeting my wife meant that I had to travel nearly 900 miles and she had to travel over 1900, without either of us knowing that we would be there.

If not for the Mexico City earthquake, and some family living in Santa Ana, California, I would not have met my wife.

If I hadn't been sent on a Spanish-speaking church mission to Orange County, California, I wouldn't have met my wife.

If she hadn't met friends who introduced her to that church, I would not have met my wife.

If I had decided not to go, I would not have met my wife.

So, out of tragedy and some heartfelt decisions, we eventually met. I definitely believe that there was a purpose in all of it. Over 29 years, two sons, two daughters-in-law and one granddaughter later, I can't imagine what life would be like if it had not happened. :)

I think your dicicion is greet that you opened a seperated account

I don't know if it was a great idea, but I felt it would be smart to have a generic account related to surfing just in case I'd need it :-)

That question can be applied to many levels; here is one you may not have expected. I got robbed and I know for a fact that meeting happened for a reason: greed!
