Conversations With A Steem Skeptic & Why I Invest In Steem
This is part 1 of a video I did talking about a conversation I had with a Steem Skeptic and the many dynamics that as awesome as they are about Steem go unseen or criticized by outsiders.
Having this conversation just really got me going about what an awesome opportunity Steem is and yet how skeptical people are of things that sound to good to be true and how people fear what they do not understand.

Awesome Dlive chat. Explaining exactly how Steem works and “Where the money comes from” is definitely a challenging conversation.
Actually to be honest, it was harder in the beginning when my posts didn’t earn much... but now I just show them my blog and they are pretty shocked. I don’t even get into the whole higher payouts due to SBD thing.

I am excited about this series also and it will really help onboard people to Steem that are not here yet. If and when you talk to someone who is interested because of your success send them to my link. It will super accelerate them getting on steem and building their rep.

I will definitely start passing along the link to your course! I actually try to make time every week to find/encourage new musicians joining the platform. I have a pretty simple formula once I find some one promising...

hahaha yes your suggestions are all great but the first level in my series helps them even get to that point. The whole purpose of the first level which I just released is to help people NOT on Steem get on as quick as possible with all the basic tools to navigate and interact in a reputable way.
The next levels I am designing will continue to get more and more in depth into the SteemSea for higher and higher levels of success!
I am also going to create referral links so that I can also compensate you or others who turn others on to this fast track to SteemPowered Success!
Ooh gotcha. Sorry, I should have read the launch post in more detail. Honestly, this is even more exciting.
“Onboarding” someone new honestly takes a lot of time and effort. So I really only have time to work with one or two people at a time. This is awesome, because I can just encourage them to use this to get started and can answer any extra questions they have, etc.
Cool that you will eventually be offering referral links. That’s very generous of you and a smart business move.
Yea, it takes a LOT of time and gets OLD. Plus there is so much that people don't even realize they don't know. This program has LOTS of information and step by step process to help anyone who has never used Steem or even social media before get started quick!

No rush. Honestly, I would tell people about it either way. 😊 I’m actually meeting up with one of my brothers this weekend to talk to him about Steem and get him up and rolling. I’m going to recommend he gets your course because he LOVES to read and learn and I think he’d get a lot out of it. 😊
Great let me know how it goes. I feel very confident that the course for anyone not yet on steem will accelerate their integration to the steem platform by at least a week if not more. In fact they will likely earn more in their first week than the course costs.

It is nice to read or better said watch something positive about steem for a change.
I have to admit that all that drama the last weeks got to me a little and I really considered powering a bit of steem down but I decided against it.
Yea bro, its NOT perfect but its BETTER than anything else out there.
Unfortunately the problem with Steem is NOT Steem its the PEOPLE. Wherever people go they will make problems just like they have destroyed the beautiful paradise that is earth.

I really appreciate that you spoke on what I've been dealing with these last several months with trying to get new people to join Steemit. I have been met with people who are terribly skeptical regarding cryptocurrencies, and it's been like talking to a brick wall when telling them that I got into cryptocurrency without having to invest any money, just by simply writing, commenting and being active on the platform. I do think fear is what holds many people back from using the site, where they could gain substantially by simply adding their material here instead of only on Facebook and Twitter. Facebook doesn't give the user anything for their content, but instead asks for money for their content to be seen by way of advertising. It just makes more sense to me to utilize a site that pays you instead!
Yes, fear is common in most people and things that are new and not understood are perfect breading grounds for fear to flourish.

I'm hoping that people will see Steemit as a great alternative to get their ideas out there since the widespread censorship on YouTube has affected so many in the alternative media world. Glad to see people such as Ben Swann and Lee Camp making their presence felt here.
