My current calisthenics skills

Hello Steem Gang!
I just thought I'd record pieces of my today's calisthenics workout. I know I suck big time :D But I'm neither a pro gymnast nor a streetworkouter. I'm trying to do it all. My main thing as of now is brazilian jiu-jitsu. 5 times a week. But I also regularly lift weights, do weighted and bodyweight calisthenics, plyometrics or yoga. I also run regularly, do sprints from time to time or go for a slackline session. I'm trying to stay balanced.
When I see a specialist in one area, I also see a beginner in many other areas...
This one comes from Conor McGregor. I'm trying to adopt that mindset. I don't want to be a blackbelt in one area. I'd rather be a blue belt across the board but stay well-rounded. But sometimes it's hard because you're never the one. The best one others look up to. You just can't spend enough time with one thing because you don't want to neglect the other ones. It's like spinning several plates at the same time. I enjoy it though :)
Now enjoy my poor skills which are not even worth recording :D Especially that front lever try :D I feel a bit embarrassed :)

Ah my nephew spilling the knowledge!
This is like the other side of the "Jack of all Trades, Master of None" coin.
What you will see is that as you progress in being well rounded, you unwittingly become expert in certain areas and never realize it. That is valuable!
What you are embarrassed about is very impressive to others. Even that handstand at the beginning, My wrists could not handle that and the balance is insane.
Well I might become an expert in sucking at many areas at the same time haha :D I'll take that though :D
Dobré, síce som videla len do štvrťky video bo mi to strašne seká.. ale prvé čo ma napadlo, že musíš do Venice a zarobíš si tam pekný balík tuším to bolo 100 sekúnd - 100 dolárov, ide o to že sa musíš tento čas "len"udržať na tyči.. pozerali sme to chvilku a nikto to nedal.. asi čakajú na teba ;)

Hahaha neuveris, ale vcera som preeesne take video videl a zamozrejme som to dnes v zahrade musel hned vyskusat. 70sek :/ Aj ked ta ich hrazda vyzera trosku uzsia, tak mozno by mi to par sekund pridalo. Kazdopadne, tych 100 je v nedohladne.
A btw tu Venice ti najviaaaaac na svete zavidim :) Tam fakt raz musim ist, sak to je uplna mekka vsetkych cool sportov. A celkovo Cali a jiu jitsu. Ohhh...

No toto video je priamo z Venice a takýchto Conorov tam cvičí dosť veľa, takže aj MatkoDurko by tam úplne vpoho zapadol;) Prajem ti aby ti to vyšlo a natočil si podobné videjko tam;)

Hahh to ti musi byt dufam jasne :D Conor all day! Uvidime, ci budu mat rematch...povrava sa, ze nejake mixed rules by mohli spravit. V klietke, naboso, ziadne kopy, kolena ani lakte, len cisto box + clinch (take pasovanie sa postojacky). A klasicke mma 4ounce rukavice. Bola by to shitshow ale ja by som si to pozrel isto :D

Sú to borci obaja! My tam boli v marci len na výlet a malo to tam fakt atmo ako nikde inde, ale tých bezdomovcov, to si nezažil :D Marne ti to tu budem opisovať MUSIS TAM JEDNODUCHO IST, dohoda?! Práve som ti LA pridala na tvoj list ;) A inak my teraz prišli na leto na SVK/CZ..

Dont worry. The front lever is not easy! It needs a lot of practice and tension in the back and abs. The Handstand looks pretty good for a non-gymnast ;-)

I don't really like McGregor, but the quote is pretty accurate. I myself am doing sports just for myself and I am not a professional. And I want to be able to perform as much skills as possible and be competitive in as much sports as possible. So I need everrything: endurance, strength, flexibility, reaction, ... The List is endless.

Regarding Conor, he's weird now. If I wouldn't watch him from late 2014, I'd hate him now. But I still remember in my mind his early days and first UFC fights...where he was this celtic, wild warrior with bulletproof mindset...Also I started to like him because of hiis coop with Ido Portal and in general talks about movement. Do you know Ido?

He is totally right imo. That is what I am talking about and that is what so many people miss. Just lifting weights makes you able to push or pull heavy weights but thats it, you just loose so much just doing it. I like to use the word balance here
