Rebuilding a Dual Axle Trailer トレーラーのリビルド

I bought an old trailer a few weeks ago and I have been fixing it up since then. There are few more things that need to be done like rebuilding or replacing the brakes and replacing the leaf springs but I used it to pick up a new front door for my house last weekend.
数週間前、ボロボロのトレーラーを購入しました。それ以来毎週ちょっとずつ直しています。まだブレーキを直したり、リーフスプリングを交換したりなどしないといけませんが、先週末、新しい家の玄関ドアを受け取りに行くのに使いました。

Here are some progress pics to show what went into this rebuild so far...
下記が今まで直してきた部分の写真となります。

First thing that I replaced was the trailer coupler. I did not trust the old rusty bent one that was on there originally. To find the replacement parts, I used the patent number that was engraved in the part. The patent was from 1960s and the company that made this originally does not exist anymore but I was able to find a supplier that still made the part thanks to the internet.
最初に直したのは、トレーラーのカプラーです。購入時に付いていたカプラーはサビついて、鉄の部品が変形していて、運転している途中に外れるのが心配なので交換しました。新しい部品はパテント番号を使って探しました。

Welding a wheel well for the right side. I used some sheet metal from an old stove for this.
右側のホイール周りのカバーが破壊されていましたので、古いオーブンの鉄板を使って新しいカバーを作りました。
