For my discordian friends out there in steemit land...

in #dicordion8 years ago (edited)

For my friends like @alchemage and other Discordians on steemit. I found some of my old stuff for fighting off things other people sent at me. I would not use these now, but I thought you might find them interesting/amusing.

For the rest of steemit, I don't expect votes on this. I found these and was sharing them with a select few who may have interests. I didn't have anything else I wanted to post tonight, but I wanted to see if these new friends of mine get anything from these.

No this is not Enochian or anything like that. This was purely a creation of my own. Religious people... you can ignore this, this could be as much fiction as anything else.

EDIT: Again you guys surprise me. I didn't expect much of an interest in these. Anyone care to guess what they are, what they are for, etc?

medalians to ward off spirits or something?

Oh and the thing that followed someone in my family home they thought came from some lady into dark stuff that liked to go by the name Queen of Diamonds. :) Her real name is embedded in those as well. It was my experiment with the idea that the source of the ritual did not matter so much as the focused mind intent and shared focus of the people creating it. Whatever, all I know is the weird stuff my other family members were reporting stopped. I'd only ever seen a few small things out of the corner of my eyes that could easily have been my mind playing tricks on me, or not. All I know is whether there was something or not it put my family members at ease and the problems seemed to have stopped.

Close enough...3 of them placed around one of the apartments I lived in years ago. A family member seemed to have brought something home. Whatever it was seemed to go away after I invented those.

Summoning circles, Ward Circles, Circles of protection, some just call them Magic Circles. They are used in many faiths, religions, or practices. Alchemy, Satanism, Paganism, Diaspora, Voudon, even Christianity. These symbols can produce various effects but mostly they are used to block or open supposed gateways, create or dispel familiars, creatures, spirits etc.
**This is what I know them as from what I can remember, please correct me if I'm wrong.

You are correct if you follow other people's rules. I personally believe what people say doesn't matter. It is simply me an organized way to focus intent towards a goal. If you can involve other people and they know the meaning at the time then that is more focused intent. I see enochian magick, native american shamanism, vodoo/vodun, chinese qiqong and chi related martial arts, religious exorcisms and prayers all as the same thing. Focused mind intent. Some may call it belief. The only difference with me is I create what I need to believe at the time, and then I no longer dwell on it after the fact. So I don't worship anything, and I don't believe in anything in particular.

You know how some people say steemit is a ponzi, and you tell them "I didn't have to pay anything, so what have I got to lose." These made up magicks of mine they either work or they don't. I don't really have anything to lose. Some faiths may say you could go to hell, but I've done enough study of history and particularly on hell that I don't believe in it. In fact, I don't believe in any written religions. When I die I'll either go to the void, or I'll go to something else. I'll find out when it happens. :)

These were me trying to come up with something to protect my house when I had some frightened family members and I was seeing some small things here and there that I passed off as my eyes playing tricks on me. So I invented these rather elaborate ANCHORS is what I called them. I explained the meaning of them to the family members so they would perhaps believe in them and find comfort. All I know is after I did this everything odd they were reporting and the tricks I was seeing in my eyes went away.

Could be coincidence. Anything I'd say would be pure speculation, so I don't even try.

These anchors were for something I've not read anywhere before that I was inspired by events and things I read over the years. I might go into them in further detail in a post soon. It'll give me something interesting to write about. For what these things are really needs the backing for what they anchor.

Anchors is good word for them and yes that would be a very interesting post.
What I find amusing is the fact that you based these on your own readings and past research not any particular faith but rather an idea, or as you put it a Focused mind intent. Yet, through out the centuries, symbols very similar to these appear in almost every religion, ideal, belief, faith, and culture, on nearly every continent. So what is it inside the human mind that keeps leading us to these symbols, these 'anchors'?
Look forward to hearing more from you and thank you once again for an interesting post and great reply.

I will say that the circle and the thaumaturgical triangle I was familiar with when I made these. I intentionally designed it as a circle and shaped like these as I figured it'd help some of my family members "believe" them more, and that is the key.

black cube worship much?

Heheh... that works. :) I don't worship anything. Yet the lady that liked to call herself Queen of Diamonds might like black cubes, or black diamonds. No clue.

Nicely done! These were done on a pc and printed?

You never really know what you're playing with when using someone else's magick.

Yes, PC and printed....

PCs possess an energy of their own that I've not been comfortable using in my magick, I tend to use charcoal for placing my sigils.

I find it interesting that you used runes from a multitude of backgrounds. Any particular reason for that?

Well mainly because my belief is in the mind intent. If I was drawing them by hand it would be my focused hand. Yet I shake a bit and am a crappy artist so it'd look pretty bad.

I did not put the intent into the drawings while they were on the PC. I printed them out. Explained the meanings of each in a pseudo-group ritualistic attitude where we each infused them with our belief and our belief in the structure defined there in. My belief was that at that point we charged and set off the items.

You see by my belief I don't actually think we need diagrams at all. It could be done with nothing but your mind and intention. This is actually usually how I operate. The difference here is that I wanted to have OTHER people also fueling this idea, and having something to focus on helps with that. I liked the effect of the two rune systems. It made it feel more intricate, and other people can often get behind something intricate looking. At least that was the psychological motivations behind it.

New post up by the way... that you should check out... explains what those were and why I called them anchors in a long drawn out way. Also gives you the story of my first encounter with the world of magick.

Is that runes I see in your circles? Also could this (the circle) be call a sigil? I read this interesting article long ago but didn't follow up on the interest:
A Beginner’s Guide to Sigil Craft

It is of my design not from a book but yes some of the symbols are runic futhark.

EDIT: It is Runic Futhark and Enochian.

I did use some techniques similar to what they did in that article though. I came up with it on my own. I only recently learned what a Discordian is and these Anchors are a good 5 or 6 years old.

All I know about discordianism is key words or images I saw on the Internet: apple of discord, hail Eris!, Bob Dobbs & the Church of the SubGenious... and I have read Prometheus Rising by Robert Anton Wilson but none of his other books.

Hi, nice to see more diverse people here. I'm a discordian but not much into that magick stuff.

I am into many things. Often I skeptic. I keep my mind pretty open and occasionally consider strapping bungee cords to my head so my brain doesn't fall out.
