SteemBasicIncome Banner Challenge
@SteemBasicIncome has a banner competition with one last open slot and I thought I would give it a go.
Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.
My Original Concept
How I Created the Image:
The tools I used were Canva.com and GIMP.
Resource for background image and earth images for coins was Pixabay.
I started with an image from Pixabay that would give me good center light and stars in the background.
For the sunlight I added a few free elements from Canva.
For the Earth I added layered, off-set circles of varying colors to create the light cresting the planet's surface.
To increase the light shining on the planet and from the sun, I smudged the white down and added more white light-beams.
I added lens flare circles down the center from the light source to add some photo-realism to the image.
I liked the Steem Coin logo but wanted to add something fresh to it. I searched Pixabay for an Earth image and faded it a little. On the other side of the image I used a different side of the Earth to symbolize everyone participating in and benefiting from this basic income system.

It was a last minute change to add the new Steemit Logo into the center of the sun. Just a nod to the system that makes this program possible.
Final step was to add the square in the middle to make sure profile information shows up and is framed well.
It is hard to tell but on the first three images I played around with the 'lens flare' size and position at the center of the image.

Who am I?
I am an amateur photographer who is passionate about birds and the natural world. I have a small point-and-shoot camera and I take photos through my binoculars to get more optical zoom. I live in beautiful Utah with my husband, the amazing and talented @JosephSavage and we are expecting our first child in June.
I have challenged myself to post a bird photo every day in 2018. It has been an amazing journey for me so far, feel free to come along!

i love the contrast spectrum and the ease of the flow, as well as the dimension of depth. It's gently passive in a way and fits the basicincome idea well.
the curvature of course is up for debate ;) but I think it's my favorite proposal so far.

Can you explain what you mean about the curvature?
As I said, you hit on target perfectly, it's a soft and nourishing design that fits the idea of a basic income perfectly.
As for curvature it would be best if I didn't elaborate until I have done more experiments myself ;)
I'm not sure this place would be right for that conversation, maybe I can catch ya on discord and tell ya what that was all about when we got a minute... speaking of which, do you guys have a discord server for the basicincome, dailysneak etc.?
