The article contains a link to the Forbes Blockchain 50, also referred to as the “Blockchain’s Billion Dollar Babies” - I feel nausea coming on.

I've been saying this for a long time: the apparent schizophrenia of the mainstream media, "blockchains good, cryptos bad", is very easy to explain in that the corporate world does not want trustless, open source platforms - it wants to keep control.

Imagine the dystopian future of every item embedded with an RFID chip linked to a blockchain and hence tracked. The Intrusion of Technology (IoT) includes you.

The question regarding the current glut of cryptos and tokens is which ones will have a real-life use once the blockchain space is controlled by corporations that seek control?

This is why my own interest is the creation of viable (and inviolate) crypto economic systems. There isn't one that can stand on its own, fully automated - unless you know of one!
