How to successfully date an independent woman

In today's world, men encounter more and more women who independent. Relationships dynamics vary depending on the dependency of the partners towards each other. If you thought about or are dating a financially and/or emotionally independent woman, here are some useful guidelines:

1. Be yourself. An independent woman will most likely catch if you are putting up a front trying to impress her. The good news are: she does not want to be impressed. If she handles her life, finances and family on her own, she will most likely be down-to-earth and understand what is important in life. She does not NEED you and will therefore be interested in your true colours. Try to use the time you would usually take to impress a woman to find out more about your new date and get behind the reasons of her independency.
2. Be her rock. Yes - she is smart. Yes - she has her own. Yes - she is strong. She might have build up a wall, a wall she needed to handle life on her own. But even the independent woman desires to have a man by her side who allows her to let her hair down and even show weakness. She will eventually test if you can provide the strength of being able to provide for both of you, financially and emotionally. If she can feel protected around you, you might have found a partner for life.
3. Support her dreams. An independent woman has a natural drive. Hard-work and dedication gifted her with the luxury of being able to provide for herself. Insecure men will most likely try to stop her from progressing further in life which will ultimately have the same effect of a parrot losing it's colour. However, if you appreciate the woman's ambition, she will further blossom and develop into a loyal partner.

Understanding the different dynamics in a relationship with an independent woman is key. She will most likely not tell you that she needs you or urge you to buy her anything. It takes a strong man to understand that he is more than just a provider and he can bring enough to the table to keep the lady boss happy and satisfied. Do not be afraid of her but prove that you are a reliable partner with a sincere interest in her person. Treat her with respect and be her partner in crime - growing together as a couple and seeing each other develop can be an amazing experience and last for a life-time.
