In 1971, a group of traditional and folkloric music was founded in the Cochabamba region, in Bolivia, with the name Los Kjarkas. Five years later they recorded their first album and by 1980 they are one of the most important groups in the South American country. And it is at the moment they begin to modernize their sound and include romantic themes, which achieve maximum popularity.

With these themes of love and their mix of traditional Bolivian music with more current sounds, the brothers Ulisses Hermosa and Gonzalo Hermosa composed the song "Llorando se fue" (Crying he/she went away), which very soon began to be versioned by different artists of the country, as well as from other lands.

Marcia Ferreira, Brazilian singer was the one who recorded in 1986 the first version that was made in Portuguese in the Brazilian giant, entitled "Chorando se foi." For this recording they mixed the rhythm with the of the Cumbia.

Three years later another group of French and Brazilians, Kaoma, recorded their version of the song, under the title of "Lambada", which became such a phenomenon that it was translated into 42 languages and reached the top positions of the radial rankings of Germany, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Spain, the United States, France, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Norway, New Zealand, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Switzerland. And it kept sounding for many years in almost all parts of the world, reaching extraordinary sales, which made them worthy of many gold and platinum records. This version is almost the same as Marcia's, but they added some rhythmic elements from Brazil, which gave rise to what became known as the musical genre Lambada.

On that occasion the authors had to introduce a demand for the unauthorized use of the song, which even became a movie, under the same name of "Lambada".

In 2005 the song continues being an interesting proposal and for that reason the Puerto Rican duo Wisin & Yandel create their song "Pam Pam" in rhythm of Regaeton, in which they use the melody of the Bolivian song, reason for which also these were sued. This was the first single from his album "Pa'l Mundo Deluxe Edition" and became number one in the United States and Latin America.

Also the famous Puerto Rican singer J.Lo, Jennifer Lopez, used the song as a base of success with the Cuban-American rapper Pitbull "On the floor", which combined elements of electro pop and electro house, as well as containing great elements of eurodance, Latin music and techno.

This song also achieved the best positions in the radios of the world.

That same year, another singer from Puerto Rico recorded the song, but changing some parts of the lyrics and mixing the song with other rhythms. On this occasion it was one of the precursors of Reggaeton, Don Omar. His version took title "Taboo" and was the product of several approaches that this artist had made towards the song, which he had been performinging since 2009.

En 1971 se fundó en la región de Cochabamba, en Bolivia, un grupo de música tradicional y folclórica de ese país, con el nombre de Los Kjarkas. Cinco años después graban su primer disco y para 1980 ya son una de las agrupaciones más importantes del país suramericano. Y es al momento en que empiezan a modernizar su sonido y a incluir temas románticos, que consiguen la popularidad máxima.

Con esa temática de amor y su mezcla de sonidos tradicionales bolivianos con sonidos más actuales, compusieron los hermanos Ulisses Hermosa y Gonzalo Hermosa la canción “Llorando se fue”, la cual muy pronto empezó a ser versionada por distintos artistas del país, así como de otras tierras.

Marcia Ferreira, cantante brasilera fue quien grabó en 1986 la primera versión que se hizo en portugués en el gigante brasileño, titulada "Chorando se foi". Para esta grabación mezclaron el ritmo con el de la Cumbia.

Tres años más tarde otra agrupación de franceses y brasileros, Kaoma, graban su versión de la canción, bajo el título de “Lambada”, la cual se convirtió en un fenómeno tal, que fue traducida a 42 idiomas y llegó a las primeras posiciones de los rankings radiales de Alemania, Australia, Austria, Bélgica, Canadá, España, Estados Unidos, Francias, Italia, Irlanda, Japón, Noruega, Nueva Zelanda, Países Bajos, Reino Unido, Suecia y Suiza. Y se mantuvo sonando durante muchos años en casi todas partes del mundo, alcanzando una ventas extraordinarias, que les hicieron merecedores de muchos discos de oro y platino. Esta versión es casi igual a la de Marcia, pero agregaron algunos elementos rítmicos de Brasil, que dieron origen a lo que se conoció como el género musical Lambada.

En esa ocasión los autores tuvieron que introducir una demanda por el uso sin autorización de la canción, la cual llegó inclusive a convertirse en una película, bajo el mismo nombre de “Lambada”.

En 2005 la canción sigue siendo una propuesta interesante y por eso el dúo puertorriqueño Wisin & Yandel crean su canción “Pam Pam” en ritmo de reguetón, en la cual usan la melodía de la canción boliviana, razón por la cual también éstos fueron demandados. Este fue el primer sencillo de su disco “Pa'l Mundo Deluxe Edition” y se convirtión en número uno en Estados Unidos e Iberoamérica.

También la famosa cantante estadounidense de origen puertorriqueño J,lo, Jennifer López, utilizó la canción como base de éxito junto al rapero cubano-estadounidense Pitbull “On the floor”, la cual combino elementos musicales del electro pop y electro house, además de contener grandes elementos de eurodance, música latina y techno.

También esta canción logró las mejores posiciones en las radios del mundo.

Ese mismo año, otro cantante de Puerto Rico, graba la canción, pero cambiando algunas partes de la letra y mezclando la canción con otros ritmos. En esta ocasión se trató de uno de los precursores del reggaetón, Don Omar. Im Moment den sie mit der Modernisierung ihres Sounds beginnen und romantische Themen den Liedern eingaben, erreichen sie die maximale Popularität.

Mit diesen Liebesthemen und ihrer Mischung traditioneller bolivianischer Musik mit aktuelleren Klängen komponierten die Brüder Ulisses Hermosa und Gonzalo Hermosa den Song "Llorando se fue" (Weinend ging er/sie), der Sehr bald von verschiedenen Künstlern des Landes sowie aus anderen Ländern versioniert wurde.
