When I read @uwelang's invitation to write about #danceweekend, he specifically asked to write about any genre that was danceable. I am a lover of dance music (yes, dance music too), I took on the challenge and I have written about many genres, about songs and artists who have excelled in the music that makes some of the citizens of the world dance.

However, with a review he did a short time ago reviewing some Colombian DJanes (read here), I realized that although he asked for music of all kinds, what he likes most is electronic music. Given that he is the creator of the Tag I decided to prepare some publications about this type of music in Venezuela (the only country about the one I can speak about this genre, since I am not an expert in that topic).

For that reason I wrote the last time about a variant of the House born in Venezuela, which was popularly known as Changa Tuki and its creators denominated Raptor House (Raptor House & Tukis in #danceweekend [English - Español - Deutsch]).

But today I wanted to go further back and do a bit of history. Although there are several musicians who broke into electronic elements in the Venezuelan music scene, most of them were on a more chill and experimental quest. There are several names that were experimenting with the technologies and their fusion with music, where Ángel Rada, Vytas Brenner and Gerry Weil stand out.

However, we are going to talk about the work done by a musician who was the first to take on Disco music as his banner.

From him we are only going to say that he was born in Caracas on December 30th 1948 and devoted himself from a very young age to music and recording studios where he has done a lot of his work as a producer and as a sound engineer. But in parallel he has always carried out his musical projects and sound experiments that in recent years have acquired a great demand in all parts of the world.

So much so, that in 2014 the German label Sonar Kolletiv signed him to edit a compilation that includes 40 of his most important tunes.

Cuando yo leí la invitación de @uwelang a escribir sobre #danceweekend, él pedía expresamente que escribiéramos sobre cualquier género que fuera bailable. Yo que soy un amante de la música bailable (también la bailable), asumí el reto y he escrito sobre muchos géneros, sobre canciones y artistas que han destacado en la música que pone a bailar a alguna porción de ciudadanos del mundo.

Sin embargo, con una reseña que hizo él mismo hace poco tiempo reseñando unas Djanes colombianas (ver acá), caí en cuenta que aunque él pidió música de todo tipo, a él lo que más le gusta es la música electrónica. En vista de que él es el creador del Tag decidí preparar algunas publicaciones sobre este tipo de música en Venezuela (del único país que pueda hablar sobre esté género, ya que no soy un experto en esa materia).

Por esa razón escribí la vez pasada sobre una variante del House nacida en Venezuela, que popularmente se conoció como Changa Tuki y sus creadores denominarion Raptor House (Raptor House & Tukis in #danceweekend [English - Español – Deutsch]).

Pero hoy quise ir más atrás y hacer un poco de historia. Aunque hay varios músicos que irrumpieron con elementos electrónicos en la escena musical venezolana, la mayoría de ellos estaban en una búsqueda más chill y experimental. Hay varios nombres que estuvieron experimentando con las tecnologías y su fusión con la música, donde destacan Ángel Rada, Vytas Brenner y Gerry Weil.

Sin embargo vamos a hablar del trabajo que realizó un músico que fue el primero en asumir la música Disco como su estandarte.

De él solo vamos a decir que nació en Caracas el 30 de diciembre de 1948 y se dedicó desde muy joven a la música y a los estudios de grabación donde ha realizado gran parte de su labor como productor y como ingeniero de sonido. Pero en paralelo siempre ha llevado sus proyectos musicales y experimentos sonoros que en los últimos años han adquirido una gran demanda en todas partes del mundo.

Tanto así, que en el año 2014 el sello alemán Sonar Kolletiv lo firmó para editar una compilación que incluye 40 de sus temas más importantes.

Als ich die Einladung von @uwelang las, über #danceweekend zu schreiben, bat er ausdrücklich, über jedes Genre zu schreiben, das tanzbar war. Ich bin ein Liebhaber von Tanzmusik (ja, auch Tanzmusik), ich habe mich der Herausforderung gestellt und habe über viele Genres geschrieben, über Lieder und Künstler, die sich in der Musik die einige Bürger der Welt zum Tanzen bringt hervorgetan haben.

Mit einem Beitrag in dem er kürzlich eine Rezension über einige kolumbianische DJanes (hier lesen) machte, bemerkte ich dass obwohl er nach Musik aller Art gefragt hat, was ihm am besten gefällt elektronische Musik ist. Da er der Schöpfer des Tags ist, habe ich beschlossen, einige Veröffentlichungen über diese Art von Musik in Venezuela vorzubereiten (das einzige Land, über das ich über dieses Genre sprechen kann, da ich kein Experte für dieses Thema bin).

Aus diesem Grund habe ich das letzte Mal über eine in Venezuela geborene Variante des Houses geschrieben, das allgemein als ** Changa Tuki** bekannt ist und seine Schöpfer als Raptor House bezeichneten (Raptor House & Tukis in #danceweekend [English - Español - Deutsch]).

Aber heute möchte ich noch etwas zurückgehen und ein bisschen Geschichte machen. Obwohl es einige Musiker gab, die in der venezolanischen Musikszene mit elektronischen Elementen eingebrochen waren, waren die meisten von ihnen auf der Suche nach mehr "Chill" und Experimentalle Musik. Es gibt mehrere Namen, die mit den Technologien und ihrer Verschmelzung mit Musik experimentierten, wobei Ángel Rada, Vytas Brenner und Gerry Weil hervorstechen.

Wir werden jedoch über die Arbeit eines Musikers sprechen, der als erster Disco-Musik als sein Banner aufnahm.

Von ihm werden wir nur sagen, dass er am 30. Parallel dazu hat er immer seine musikalischen Projekte und Klangexperimente durchgeführt, die in den letzten Jahren in allen Teilen der Welt eine große Nachfrage gefunden haben.

So sehr, dass das deutsche Label Sonar Kolletiv ihn 2014 signierte, eine Compilation zu veröffentlichen, die 40 seiner wichtigsten Lieder enthält.
