Criollo House in #DanceWeekend [English - Español - Deutsch]
What happens if you put together a Venezuelan Cuatro, a voice that sings the greatest hits of Venezuelan, folkloric and dance music, and add to that a House base, with all its electronic elements and its burning beat? Well, that exists and it's called Criollo House.

This project was born as a duo formed by Ricardo Carrasco (Ricardo Dj), as a producer, and Alfredo Rojas (Alfredo R2) in the voice. Later, Hugo Chópite joined with the Cuatro, because that instrument has become the protagonist of almost all the work they carry out.
And the invention has given good results, Criollo House has been increasing its number of followers in a dizzying way and they have lots of live presentations, where they manage to transmit a unique energy and where Alfredo R2 has shown, apart from an extraordinary vocal quality, an extraordinay scenic domain, which contributes enormously to spread the public with encouragement and happines and turn their show into an explosion of energy, rhythm and enjoyment.
The producer of this project did not have formal musical studies, his training comes from the passion for music, his studies were in chemistry and we could think that this "chemistry" served him to make the perfect mix for fun.
In contrast, Alfredo is a product of the youth musical projects that are in the country, where he learned to play cuatro, bass and violin. However, in this project what he has put is his voice and charisma on the stage.
This project was born in the east of the country, but has been spread like wildfire and international tours are already part of their activities. The idea was born at the end of 2015, when Alfredo and Ricardo merged their talents and made their cover of the well-known song "Mi querencia", by Simón Díaz, with which they managed to attract the attention of an audience eager for new proposals. It was clear at the beginning that it was an experiment, but day by day they were confirming the enormous void that existed in the field of music that could be liked equally by young people and the elderly.
That same year they took advantage of a presentation on the island of Margarita to record their first video, with another of the themes that soon became a phenomenon, Cuerpo Cobarde.
The fact that the music they make seems like a "crazy" mix, does not intimidate them and that is why they boast of the name they have been given of "The Kings of Dementia".

¿Qué pasa si juntas un cuatro venezolano, una voz que cante los más grandes éxitos de la música venezolana, folklórica y bailable, y le sumas a eso una base House, con todos sus elementos electrónicos y su beat ardiente? Pues eso existe y se llama Criollo House.
Este proyecto nació como un dúo conformado por Ricardo Carrasco (Ricardo Dj), como productor, y Alfredo Rojas (Alfredo R2) en la voz. Posteriormente se integró Hugo Chópite en el cuatro, pues ese instrumento se ha vuelto protagonista de todo el trabajo que llevan a cabo.
Y el invento ha dado buen resultado, Criollo House ha ido aumentando su número de seguidores de una manera vertiginosa y lo han logrado a punta de presentaciones en vivo, donde logran transmitir una energía única y donde Alfredo R2 ha demostrado, aparte de una extraordinaria calidad vocal, un dominio escénico, que contribuye enormemente a contagiar al público de ánimo y alegría y convertir así su show, en una explosión de energía, ritmo y disfrute.
Ricardo, el productor de este proyecto no tuvo estudios musicales formales, su formación viene de la pasión hacia la música, sus estudios fueron de química y pudiéramos pensar que esa “química” le sirvió para hacer la mezcla perfecta para la diversión.
En contraposición, Alfredo es producto de los proyectos musicales juveniles que hay en el país, donde aprendió a tocar cuatro, bajo y violín. Sin embargo, en este proyecto lo que ha puesto es su voz y el carisma en la tarima.
Este proyecto nació en el oriente del país, pero se ha ido regando como pólvora y ya son parte de sus actividades, las giras internacionales. La idea nació a finales del 2015, cuando Alfredo y Ricardo fusionaron sus talentos e hicieron su versión del conocido tema “Mi querencia”, de Simón Díaz, con lo que lograron llamar la atención de un público ávido de nuevas propuestas. Estaba claro al comienzo que se trataba de un experimento, pero día a día iban comprobando el enorme vacío que existía en el campo de una música que pudiera gustar por igual a jóvenes y personas mayores.
Ese mismo año aprovecharon una presentación en la isla de Margarita para grabar su primer video, con otro de los temas que pronto se convirtió en un fenómeno, Cuerpo Cobarde.
El hecho de que parezca una mezcla “loca” la música que ellos hacen, no los amedrenta y por eso hacen alarde del nombre que les han dado de “Los Reyes de la Demencia”.

Esto lo empecé conociendo como Neo folklore, englobando cualquier estílo de música moderno que incluía piezas de música folklórica, muy ingenioso por parte de estos chicos.
