'Schnauzer Cuteness.'
This is my entry for the #dailypetphotography contest organized by by @kona
I watched this beautiful black and white Schnauzer dog waiting for its owner to finish talking to a friend at a park. She was so patient, especially as it was a very long conversation between the owner and friend. I couldn't help thinking about the unwavering loyalty of dogs and how they love human company.
The Schnauzer dog breed originates from Germany and their name means ‘snout,’ ‘moustache,’ or ‘whiskered snout.’ Initially these dogs were called Wire-Haired Pinschers but the name ‘Schnauzer,’ was adopted in 1879.
There are three breeds available and they are known as: Standard, Giant and Miniature and all have above average intelligence. Schnauzers are inclined to be independent, therefore it is a good idea to train them when very young and provide a variety of exercise for them.
Their intelligence results in them being effective with solving problems. They make great guard dogs because of their protective natures and will alert their owners of any potential danger. This can lead to annoying, persistent barking though so it is important to train them in this area early as well.
They are characterized by their distinctive beards and their long, feathery eyebrows. Their colours range from salt and pepper, black or white and brown. It is advisable to brush and trim their beards and leg hair often to prevent it from becoming matted.
I couldn't resist applying digital effects on two of my original photos and in my opinion, it didn't reduce the cuteness factor in the slightest.
Schnauzers have two coats. The upper one called the guard coat is wiry while the underneath coat is quite soft. Stripping is a process in which the undercoat is loosed, and the dead hair plucked, and this should be done at least twice a year. This will allow the dogs outer coat to remain hard and wiry. They do shed hair often and if they are shaved, only the soft undercoat is visible.

😍😍😍OMG is so beautiful. I want one like this little boy🐶
I would have been happy to take him home with me too @denissemata but I don't think I would have been too popular with its owner.
Well, I do not think that the owner would have liked you to take your dog. But is that it is so beautiful

My pleasure @dpet Thanks for hosting this wonderful contest.
Schnauzers are cool-looking. They're so... fuzzy!
Speaking of dogs, one of my students asked to bring in her "support" dog. It's a registered service dog. This should be interesting.
I must admit I'm a bit disappointed it wasn't a service monkey, though. One of my professors had a student with a support monkey, about a decade ago!
Schnauzers have every distinctive looks and from what I have seen of them they have wonderful natures.
I wonder if you'll be able to take any photos of your students support dog? A support monkey sounds like a lot of fun. Very unusual.
