Hello food photographers! Here's an appetizer :)

From daily compilations...

The #dailyfoodphotography tag has grown and @howtostartablog is passing the compilation baton on to me. Read about the beginning and end of daily compilations in howtostartablog's last dailyfoodphotography post. If you've appreciated the efforts that built this tag, I encourage you to leave a comment there! Then read on to find out how recognition of food photography posts will continue.

To weekly compilations...

Now that this tag has a solid start, my intention is to take the baton and keep the momentum going. I'll be curating weekly compilations with two winning photos and ten consolation photographs. As a minnow, I can start by rewarding the top two with at least 0.5 SBD. (If the posts are earning enough and/or if a Steemian with a fuller wallet wants to contribute, I'd love to increase the rewards.) This will be my first experience curating a weekly contest. Feedback will be welcome and I'll appreciate support in the forms of comments, upvotes, and resteems. Most of all, continued participation in the dailyfoodphotography tag with attitudes of sharing and connecting will be appreciated. Although rewards put it in the contest category, I'd like the focus to remain on participation. As the creator, howtostartablog, intended :)

Participation Guidelines:

• Post food photographs any day of the week as often as you'd like.
• Use #dailyfoodphotography as one of your five tags.
• Follow @mininthecity and watch for compilation posts each Tuesday. (Any photo with the tag dailyfoodphotography can be featured, however, only followers qualify to win SBD).
• Share only your own original shots and the type of camera or phone you used.
• Please share at least one sentence about the photograph.
