Chef Life Magazine Issue #15: Chefs Humble Meals
Yes most chefs don't eat fancy. We just cook fancy stuff and normally have no pictures for it coz the food is served to the customers that paid of them and they take picture of them, post it on their social media and get the credit for EATING some artsy looking food 😜 😊
I'm the kind of chef that loves good tasting stuff I put in my mouth. I often don't even mind cold food. Why you may ask? Well it's coz I appreciate food in it of itself. To me having something to go in your tummy that isn't sand is already something to be grateful for. Yep I'm noble that way 😂
P.S. - I even use chicken stock cubes/powder when I cook (inspired by Marco Pierre White)

Malay-style Buffalo Stew
Packed with lotsa herbs and spices. Hearty and the warmth from the spices - fuh! - food
Beef Satay
I stay about a 20 minutes drive from the city but just around the neighbourhood a few minutes away is this roadside stall that sells the most amazing beef satay. A piece of beef fat nicely rendered and soft between 2 pieces of marinated beef cubes. 'Nuff sed ~!

Hahahaha!! I totally agree on the part where chefs don't eat fancy, just cook fancy!! The chefs i used to work with were also like that... XD
Sadly these posts are also not upvoted very much. Hahaha.. Seems like people like beautiful fancy food that we cook rather than what chefs actually eat XD
I knew the chef at one of the province's largest bakeries. He made artisanal bread at work, but would eat sliced store bought grocery store bread without a second thought. When you work all day with something, you don't necessarily want to have it at home.
@ajdohmen I love eating fancy as well but often we just don't have the strength left to cook for ourselves after a 12-14 hour day of standing and cooking all day. I'm more of a, food is for us to eat so we don't starve and we can enjoy being full :D
