Very well said and very valid points you make. Being able to keep something on the shelf longer in the store might be good for the store keeper and somewhat good for the consumer from an economic standpoint but at what cost to the consumer in their healthiness?
I think that the price that is paid over the "long term" is being shown now and we really need to rethink what we are doing to the food chain.
