Cycling in Sepang F1 Circuit
Every now and then, Sepang F1 Circuit or SIC as it is known as is open for motorsport free activities such as cycling, jogging, walking, skateboarding and practically any activity not related to motorsport. As I have been here many times before but with a car so I wanted to try for myself what it feels like, cycling in a F1 circuit.
For this time it was held in the morning from 0700 to 0900 so I wake up early around 0500 and proceed to meet there with my friends while I at petrol station to buy something to eat. Reaching at 0630, we setup our bike as today all of us will be riding foldie or folding bike. A friend if mine, Bomoh as he wants to be called is earlier than me. We setup our bike while waiting for the others to arrive. As soon as all arrived and the foldie already setup, we proceed to the pit-lane gate to enter the track.

My foldie, a Java Fit 16s but modded with 20s Shimano 105 parts runninng a 56/46T chainring with 11-28T cassette
The length of SIC is 5.5km but cycling here is quite fun considering that this is a F1 circuit. We try to sprint as fast as we could on the straights. Haha.... But a foldie is not meant to be fast, it's more of a commuting bike. But we all did have good fun that day. So after a few laps, we had our rest at pit-lane before packing our foldie and head to the nearest stall for a drink, some TKSS session before heading home.

thats so interesting ! .. .how long did it take you to round the entire circuit
Around 16min a lap, there is also down and uphill and I'm not good on uphill cos I'm kinda on the heavy side

yeah! its fun too as such places are usually off limits. the best part is that u have the track all for yourself and not to worry about any cars

there is some nice route to cycle here in Malaysia, I'll share it next time
