ProCycling season 2018 - Strade Bianche: young and attractive in many ways
A relative new race, started in 2007, but already a true classic. With some new, young faces in the front as well.
Belgian youngster Tiesj Benoot took his first victory as a pro but already showed he's a guy for the future. Strong in the classics but also a talented rider for the mountains ?
And what about fellow countryman Wout van Aert. The world champion in cyclo-cross but extremely good in the road peleton as well. Bravo !
Last but not least....the scenery, breathtaking dirt roads ('strade bianche) in Tuscany. Hard labour on the short and steep climbs as well.
Here are some pictures I took from the TV-broadcast, they look a bit weird but somehow add to the slightly surreal race.
