Why I Just Voted for @curie for Steemit Witness (And No, I’ve Never Received a Curie Upvote)

in #curie7 years ago (edited)

I believe in great content. And I believe that when someone creates great content, it has the chance to positively impact us, teach us something, expand our perspectives, inspire us, and more.

But a lot of great content will not have its day in the sun. That’s just life. And it’s because there are so many people creating content, so even the best of the best can sometimes get lost in the mix, especially if it comes from a new user.

But there is something that we can do to change that, and that’s why I voted for @curie for Steemit Witness.

Because, even though I personally haven’t received a @curie upvote, I have seen what the account has done to change people’s fortunes and even people’s lives here on Steemit. It changes fortunes because with one @curie vote, now creators have the good luck of having others finally read their worthy content, because @curie has recommended it, and it changes lives because of the impact that the post can have on others, as well as a potential career that it can launch for someone who truly emerges as a star on the platform.

That’s why I’m all about @curie. I’ve seen the good that they can do for Steemit. I’ve seen the users that they’ve inspired to continue on Steemit, so that we can continue to read their intriguing articles, watch their engaging videos, and hear their music.

We have a responsibility here on Steemit to recognize and lift up those who bring value to our platform and to our community, and @curie is spearheading those efforts.

Remember, the greater the value that Steemit brings to the internet, the more interest we generate in bringing new users to the platform. And as a result, the larger our opportunity to create an even wider impact in the world with our content.

Because here’s the kicker: Almost every day I’m seeing more and more Steemit blog posts popping up in Google search results when you type in your query. And for good reason. There are blog posts relevant to answering questions about anything from cryptocurrencies to poetry. There are blog posts that walk you through how to make brand new recipes. There are blog posts answering common questions that travelers have about visiting their dream destination. And much, much more.

We are a global community, with the chance to have a global impact. But only if we do it right, and if we bring great content to the forefront.

So let’s do our part too, and support those, like @curie who are doing so much to bring attention and recognition to the great content that is being put up on Steemit each and every day.

Remember friends, our right to vote for witnesses isn’t something that should be taken lightly, because you could say that these votes are “curating” the future of our platform.

Also, in case you’re wondering, I’m not worried that I haven’t received a @curie upvote before. Because I know that when I am most deserving, I will be considered for it. Just have to keep grinding and earn it!

Mate I feel horrible and I made a huge goof. I accidentally upvoted and resteemed your post with the @curie account after posting this week's Author Showcase (which features your #mycuriestory) on the @curie blog. We had to remove the upvote and I sincerely apologize for any confusion this may have caused. I was intending to upvote and resteem from my personal account here. Again, truly sorry, to you and also to any future readers wondering about this post being resteemed on the Curie blog. My apologies. Thanks - Carl (self upvoted for visibility)

No problem at all bossman, I understand! Hey, like I said, I still have to earn that Curie vote! Haha, I appreciate the support, really it means a lot. Thank y’all so much for what you do helping great undiscovered posts get noticed, that really is an awesome undertaking. Thankful that my words resonated with y’all...I meant each and every one when I praised @curie. Thanks for what you do!

I should have also said above, great post and I really appreciate it. I think your words carry almost more weight saying what you are saying without actually having received a Curie yet yourself. Thanks for being a good sport. Cheers - Carl

Thanks for the kind words man, happy to have hopefully made a small impact in encouraging others on our platform to support @curie!

Now your get it, @curie also resteemed your post, congratulation for you @jumpmaster :)

Cannot argue with you there !

Im so glad that y’all are supporting @curie and hopefully one day from now i’ll see you get that upvote you deserved...keep it up and thanks for your support....

For sure! Thanks man!

I love your outlook on life. I know one day you will get the @curie vote.

Thanks emerge! Always appreciate your support!

nowadays there are so many great people I see and follow every day in steemit, but very few are willing to share with others either in matter or theory, almost on average just selfish without helping others.
even I often see hostility, and mutual disdain one another one of them give mines to other people's posts, even if there is a support then the person is also threatened by giving 100% mines, we can see from the steem power pattern in someone's account whether he or she is giving or not at all.
I am proud after reading the post because there are still people who want to share like @curie. thank you @curie hope you always succeed.
Thank for sharing friend @jumpmaster.

The more we can do to help each other, the more success we will have ourselves too! Just have to keep working and spreading good vibes...and you will inevitably receive good vibes and support back!

Thank you friend, this is a little inspired for me, may always be successful friends.

Really nice
I have never received an upvote from him too but all I have been seeing nice jobs that he has done and still doing in people's lives.

now creators have the good luck of having others finally read their worthy content, because @curie has recommended it

There are so many great/quality writers, video editors, artists, musicians and so many more on the pages of steemit that get no recognition, tend to get lost in the shuffle of hundreds and thousands of other content and just don't get seen. Curie brings some of those forefront, but there are so many out there that haven't had the curie touch... yet.

Voting for a witness you believe in and that believes in the future of steemit as well as the blockchain is the right way to think.

Thanks @goldendawne, totally agree! Thankful for what Curie does to continually bringing so much value to Steemit and to helping those who are deserving of support for their great content.

Hi @jumpmaster. It's great to see authors appreciating what Curie does despite not getting the vote yet :) Shows how much you care about the platform and great content. You might want to change one of your tags to #mycuriestory since I think this is one. Cheers.

Absolutely, I know one day when I'm deserving, I'll get one! Sounds good, I'll change a tag now. Thanks for the heads up!

Hmm, insight just about something. Good write-up keep it up
