There's a baby following me
Over the last few weeks I have been experimenting with trying to balance my voting power across the various frontends that have popped up, namely PAL and LEO where I have the most staked. Today I bought 2500 odd CreativeCoin (CCC) because I hope I can help some creatives out a bit with that and, I am looking to stake some NEOXAG once the payouts arrive.
The management hasn't been going well.
So I created a trail on myself and at least for the PAL and LEO I am able to delegate my stake to it and have a vote follow me. I don't care too much about maximizing cons, but I also don't want voting power to lay dormant too much. have set the trail at 100% votes and what will be will be :) Of course, I may have to adjust that a bit later but for now, I am in experimentation mode.
The reason I have done this is that while I am glad for all these tokenized interfaces arriving, I prefer to focus most of my energy into Steem directly and when it comes to voting, I have voted on posts and comments 55,474 manually. I even read most of them - and all of the comments. Having the trail means I can just keep doing my thing, and hopefully it will follow behind spreading PAL and LEO around the place in my wake.
I am hoping that eventually CCC and NEOXAG will have delegation too so I can bundle them together and when I read through the various interfaces or come across posts I want to reward with a token, I can give it a small vote with my main and deliver a large vote with one of the tokens. I have no idea if this will work or, if I have set it up correctly because I have never automated anything here before.
What is good about these tokens is that they earn liquids directly so I can keep sending from the trail to my main and increase the delegation. I am hoping that it goes well and take a little pressure off so I can try to be more sensitive and use the tokens more thoughtfully.
I know that there are much more complicated setups ou there looking to maximize their returns but that is not my goal here. What I want to be able to do is set some kind of process where I am able to reward content directly on the interfaces it was intended for, so LEO on investment, CCC on creative work, PAL is a free-for-all and so is Neoxian.
I might end up killing the idea if it doesn't workout the way I plan or, is significantly worse than I imagine it to be and then just go back to having all the tokens on the one vote. What I do know is that it is a little bit of fun playing around with these things and kicking over some stones that I haven't kicked before.
So, babytarazkp is out creeping around behind me for a little while at least.

This is a pretty smart way to do it, because it requires only one account, but makes spreading much easier. Now I just wonder what I should name my trail account as...

For now I just can't be bothered. Going to just pick my one token to focus on and let the rest fall out where they may.
For now, I am gonna make my focus LEO and see how that works. My STEEM VP will probably suffer.
If it gets too bad, I may just add more STEEM :-) If It gets really bad then I will consider doing all the contortions to make it better, but it will have to get pretty bad before I do that (famous last words--probably be doing it in the next month).
Yeah, I was doing the same but I read mostly through steemit so I had no idea where things were going and I missed a lot. Now I can run through leo and give small stream votes and large leo votes. Essentially, it is all manual still I can just spread coins further and hopefully support people where they like to post better.
I do hope a simple easy way to accomplish that is in the works! I am using a second account, but already it is not enough and I am wasting voting power.
Yep it isn't easy and I am too busy and too lazy to try to optimize anything. I am just hoping to be able to reward more where it should go.
Are you going to create separate accounts for various front ends or just babytarazkp?

While far from optimized, hopefully I can better reward content for what it is and where it is in time. Might take some experimentation.
I think that with all the different tribes and interfaces it will take as much or even more time to curate as write at least 2 good posts of your own.
This is what I am kind of hoping for where I can post a bit less and reward others more.
I see. For some people the feeling might be the opposite...

I am enjoying the experimenting too. Weirdly, I played with this rather than writing a post last night.
Thought the token votes followed the steem votes? 😖 (aside from maybe at 100% unless there’s ways to change the default from their interfaces) I’m not smart enough for this.
I’m sure babytarazkp will behave and totally not be like a horror movie baby 🤣

Yes they do, but that is also the issue as I don't vote on many LEO posts for example or, not at a high Steem % so the percentage i give on LEO is too low.
Say I give a 50 percent Steem vote, I would want to give a 100 LEO vote because I probably don't read 10x trading posts a day (more like 1-2). This way I can reward more in the native coin. BTW, are you posting under Creativecoin ?
Ah the cursed dust votes! Oh yeh I did say on another post maybe one day we’ll have options to enable whatever sliders/payout displays for whatever tokens we use (talk about goldfish memory 🙄).
Not using creativecoin yet but intending to squeeze the tag in on the progblog I’m currently writing (which nicely fills up my tag slots) and see if I get burned 🙃

The dust votes might not be a problem after HF21 as most won't vote on comments at all. I think this might be a good thing because it will concentrate a bit more on posts. What people might not realize is, there were plenty of comment before HF19 where they added comment votes.
