Sally stared dully at her tea, the once-warm elixir now a disgusting icy mass with a film over the top, and poked at the formation of a tea-cup iceberg poking through the tea-flesh.

Working the Night Shift by @kaelci is a glorious piece of flashfiction with epic imagery and a velvet sledgehammer ending that we have all felt.

I think that
by thinking so much
I deserve a little piece of heaven.

Piensen que sienten bonito by @revivemyheart is a life-affirming poem originally in spanish, but is absolutely worth translating.

These lies of being alive,
Hitting the shores of the dead,
Bringing waves of calm,
Unreal and untrue.

The Dead Calm by @mydivathings makes such good use of sound- I especially like the use of internal rhyme.

This form of Japanese poetry also has a structured syllabus to it which will better explain your poetry than haiku which in total 31 syllable structure for the English version. When writing a tanka, make sure not to use any punctuation at the end of the poetry

Tanka by @seyiodus is both informative and creative- the author discusses their learning about tanka, the japanese poetry form, as well as their thinking behind two tankas that they wrote themselves.

Moon Song by @spirajn makes gorgeous use of metaphor and personification, delving into philosophy and creating some fantastic imagery.
