Powered Up - Account Builder #8
Here is the 8th account builder post. Thank you all for your continued support in terms of upvotes, resteems, SBD or Steem gifts, and @steembasicincome shares. Your continued support means a lot to me and the Judges of the PIF Curation Contest. We are really looking forward to being able to expand beyond our current single contest.
Powered Up
We are now over 20sp and have .391 SBD which might be used to purchase a vote, undecided on this currently but considering @treeplanter. Anyone with thoughts on this please share. Mainly looking for ROI experience, actual ROI not advertised ROI as the value of a vote typically decreases before payout.
What is @pifc?
It has been suggested that some people may not know about @pifc and why we are running account builder posts. Makes sense, it's a new account and not everyone knows about the amazing Pay It Forward Curation Contest.
@pifc will be the home of all Pay It Forward Contests. To get to a point where this account is strong enough to give out real votes and be at least slightly self sufficient we are running "Account Builder" posts every other day. The SBD & Steem earned from these posts currently is purely used to power up the account.
Goal of @pifc
Goal is to build multiple contests that allow redfish to power up. Contests are one of the fastest ways for a new member on steemit to earn Steem or SBD and at the same time gain some exposure to others who may have similar interests.
Keep up with the good work. Slowly but steadily we will build up this account! 😃

working with minnows and redfish most of the time, there are many people that need to be encouraged to power up and think long term. I fully support what you are doing here. have resteemed for extra visibility and will add a link back to this initiative next week in the Redfish Power Up league and Hall of Fame post.
Thank you! Every bit of support really helps. There will be some ways for us to collaborate once this account is up and live I'm sure. At the very least cross promoting your new league will help add to the level of engagement for newer members. But sure we can do even better then that once we put our heads together.
Was just told someone plans to delegate 300sp and I have someone willing to match up to 500sp so that will get us to 600sp once it happens. It I find the other 200, plus the matching 200 I'd probably run another couple weeks to purely power up for long term viability and to build up some SBD to use for prizes and we will be live.

working with smaller accounts is hard @lynncoyle1 and anyone trying to improve the situation for them gets my approval :-)
This is definitely a worthy effort; happy to put my few cents towards the pot! Pay-it-forward is one of my favorite principles, and the idea that there can be a "crowdfunded" hub for this is very appealing... and testament to Steemit being a great community of cooperation!

I actually need to power up some more myself.
Somehow, I do it far too rarely.
Yes, I used to do less frequently, @paparodin. Then I saw a Steemian with over 15,000 SP powering up every little bit he made in rewards, each time he made them.
I've started doing the same now unless I'm setting some aside for leasing SP or sponsoring SBIs. ;)
I think the question of how frequent you post or how much you read and socialize around here is an important factor for that as well. Also the prices.
When SBD was as ridiculously pricey as it used to be, I can see that giving great results quite fast.
Always good to see the progress. It's nice to know that something that started out with a 'pay it forward' foundation has really taken root, isn't it?
