๐Ÿ‘‘Cromwellian Monarchism๐Ÿ‘‘

843px-Oliver_Cromwell_by_Samuel_Cooper.jpgCromwell symbolizes a very important stage in the British people's history.

Firstly Cromwell and his new model army smashed the entire concept of absolute monarchy and with it the concept that one man is inherently superior to another.

Secondly he cast aside finally and for good the yoke of domination of the clerical-fascist church of rome.

Monarchism stands for the benevolent rule of monarchs stretching from glorious Queen Elizabeth the first all the way to the magnificent reign of Queen Elizabeth the second( excluding of course that dirty rascal who wished to rekindle the bonfires of the auto-da-fรฉ and got his nasty head chopped off by the righteous (but not that much fun) Oliver Cromwell) in which the Commonwealth suffered neither foreign invasion or mass starvation for 500 years(in world war two there was starvation in India attributed directly to Churchill's orders not to ship food, a blot on the record to be sure).

While the USA does not belong to the Commonwealth having been infected with french notions of republicanism( not the Republican party but the idea that not having a monarch is a good thing, quel terrible!) I think anyone can see that America is more like Australia than it is like France especially when either people travel to another country.
So in short I support my Queen Elizabeth II and yet when I walk by the restaurant named the Kingshead I smile and support its celebration of the execution of a king who sought to enslave our very minds.
The other day I heard a prominent you-tuber describe himself as an Anarcho-Monarchist that made me curious, maybe that term describes me I'll have to research it.

The Real world proven stability of this system is its major selling feature.

The enshrinement of ownership of private property including the ownership of oneself is the centre piece of Common Law (which of course is also what U.S. law is based on as well).

Freedom of thought is a definite foundation of Cromwellian Monarchism even though this under attack throughout the Commonwealth thanks to marxist f*ckery.

Cromwellian Monarchism ended the international slave trade with its own navy.

Cromwellian Monarchism made it law that all slave had to do was set foot on Commonwealth land they were free.

Cromwellian Monarchism also gave the world basketball!

God save the Queen!

Brings to mind two thoughts, which sound on the surface like they contradict each other (they don't)

  • "Great Man" theory - rarely, a man (and even more rarely a woman) enters the world and has both a vision and the leadership to see that vision come to reality through the force of personality. Unless that vision includes a method for sustaining the vision, the "Great Man"s death ends the vision. In Cromwell's case, his body was dug up and mutilated IIRC.
  • A government reflects the morality of it's people. The English are a relatively moral people, and have been for a long time. They also have a political-moral vision which denies absolute power, so when the monarchy became too much of a pain in the ass, or when a monarch asserted power in an "immoral" manner (Catholic Mary), the English would revolt

and a third thought follwing from the second:

  • any government (including communism) will be good, so as long as the people it represents AND the people in it are good:this last thought is purely hypothetical, IMO ;>

I call them oxymoronic beliefs and I love them! Here is another of my faves Intelligently designed to Evolve(by our bacterial overlords[mitochondria] so they can have the newest model of RV)

I enjoyed a recent doc I watched in which they laid out the argument for the stomach as a second brain, guided by our bacterial gut-masters!

decentralized centralization FTW!

The truth is coming out!๐Ÿ˜

I just hope that as long as I keep offering them tribute in the form of cheeseburgers and pie that they wont command me to do anything too bad!

;>

Appeasement is the only way ;)

On your last point, the problem with bad systems is that they convince people that goodness comes from necessary evils. Bloody Mary thought she was saving England from hell! And Catholics are great people who have fed me more than any stingy englishman ever has. After watching the vice documentary about Celtic vs Ranger rivalry I came to the conclusion that although I sided with the Rangers fans loyalties but the Celtic party looked way more fun.

I like the perspective that government is a "dangerous tool" far more than I do that government is a "necessary evil"

Thats a great perspective I often tell my children that their emotions are just tools great when they help you, best to set aside when it gets in your way. I feel the same way with logic( because you can convince yourself of anything if you work at it)

exactly; sometimes you have to forget a fact or two when you really want to go down a certain path, and our brains really allow us to do that

Good point, great leaders make themselves dispensable.

I have learned that every form of human generated Government has strengths and weaknesses, and almost all of them can be viable under certain circumstances and restrictions. The two most important features for a proper, lawful and self sustaining Government is;

  • Those in positions of authority from the top to the bottom must be considered servants of the people and they must demonstrate a servants heart and attitude. Therefore a system must be in place to select leaders not only for their physical and mental qualifications, but also by their spiritual qualifications and attitude. A humble spirit and an attitude of grace and sacrifice are the most important characteristics that when coupled with a righteous adherence to law and proper order approaches perfection. The problem is quantifying these attributes and developing a system whereby they can be continuously gauged in such a way that it is observed and understood by all.

  • The second requirement for a proper and safe Government is an unchangeable, faultless and absolute system of accountability. Leaders have to be held accountable for their words and deeds. The more authority that is vested in a person, then the higher the standards of accountability must be.

In the "United States," if I can even still call it that, today we select our leaders by the most skewed standards imaginable. It now costs many millions of dollars to be elected President of the United States, and it is just a given that our elected officials are running for office in order to enrich themselves and their friends and family. This Government and Country have moved so far away from its foundations that it is inevitable that it will fall. The founders had a grand idea about how to do the things that I proposed as the perfect road to proper governance, but that road has been taught out of American children by those who have another agenda for us and the world.

If we are ever to have a perfect form of Government then the people of the world must stop thinking in the terms of mankind being inherently good and well meaning, this single thought and belief has led to the institution of the most evil Governments and deadly entities that the world has ever known. We need to learn to look at each other for who we really are and face up to the fact that everyone is inherently evil and that it takes a lot of help and effort to depart from that evil. I desire to be held accountable, because without restraint I am afraid of what I might be capable of! I say this even though I am a very moral minded person who is well known for standing on the truth and the things that are right. So if a fine law abiding citizen who loves people, has a giving servant's heart and who is admired for truthfulness and honesty can say categorically that evil exists in his heart, then how bad are our current leaders who are known liars and cheats?

I say these things knowing that proper government instituted by men and populated by men will always be flawed and will trend toward evil. That is because we are flawed and no matter how we try to spin it our hearts are inherently evil. You do not have to teach a child to lie, they are born from their mothers womb with lies on their lips as they straight away cry for attention when there is nothing wrong with them. If left to ourselves we are doomed to wretchedness and a life under inequality of the issuance of even the basic common rights that every living person deserves, as well as an uneven issuance of justice and righteousness.

So what is the answer? I am simply going to govern myself to the best of my ability, I will live in such a way that I am held accountable by my family, my friends, by the members of my church, by my local Government (good or bad) and by anyone that has been placed in a position of authority over me. I will continue to stand on truth and the things that I know to be right and I will observe the basic rights of others and serve them whenever possible. Not serving for personal gain, but for the betterment of them and for society at large.

I know that there will never be a perfect form of Government until God Himself comes and makes all things right. Not at home, or at work, nor at church and certainly not with our elected officials. We will all have to endure living as best we can with the imperfections and flaws that are inherent and always with us, any honest introspect will make this fact self evident. But if we teach that evil exists in us and that we are all in urgent need of accountability to someone or something for the things that we do or say, then maybe we can make a small difference around ourselves that will eventually grow into a better way of governance for the entire world.

I disagree that people are inherently evil, but I agree that people aren't good and well meaning. Rather I would agree with Jordan Peterson(when he quotes someone else) when he says " The line between good and evil runs through every mans heart".
Though the Monarchy of the commonwealth is not perfect it is stable, it has allowed morality to be expressed better than other systems of government.

Good post and has given me some topics to research, thank you. Although it is my duty to add that the current 'Queen' has turned her back on our Common Law so has therefor made herself an traitor against the people She swore an oath to protect. Still its all relative to perspective.
