Japanese culture "SHI N TO"　日本の文化「神道」

There is a god on a Japanese desk.Today I will talk about "SHI N TO" which is a Japanese religion.

This time it is not a professional story, but it deforms to the extent that you can understand.

"SHI N TO" is a Japanese folk religion. There is neither a guru nor teaching or scripture.

It is different from monotheism believed by many people all over the world.There is only one absolute God in monotheism.However, there is no such god in Shintoism.Instead,I think that God exists in everything in this world.

Things are natural and natural phenomena, God in myths,Everyday things such as desks and chairs, animals, food,I believe that God dwells in everything.

Although Shinto is polytheism, it is strongly believed that the ancestor is worshiped, and the ancestor who died is believed to be God.

History is old, it is a god idea which occurred naturally based on Japanese climate and Japanese lifestyle habits.

Even now, it is deeply rooted in the hearts of Japanese people.There are shrines in Japan where the gods belonging to "SHI N TO" become circles of God.The number is 90,000.

Although it is a Japanese who is said to be no religion,There are many Gods in the Japanese heart.It is a completely different concept from monotheism.In other words, the Japanese is not a non-religious person, but a different way of thinking from monotheism.

Together with Shinto, I will explain the Buddhism widely spread in Japan on another occasion.

日本には、机にも神様がいるのです。今日は日本の民族宗教である「神道」についてお話します。
今回は、専門的なお話しではなく、海外の人に理解してもらえる範囲でデフォルメしています。

神道とは、日本の民俗宗教です。教祖も教えも教典も特にありません。

世界中の多くの人が信仰する一神教とは違います。一神教には、唯一絶対の神様が存在します。しかし、神道には、そのような神様はいません。その代わりに、この世にあるすべての物事に神様が存在すると考える日本古来からの民族宗教です。

物事とは、自然や自然現象、神話の中の神様、机や椅子などの日常的なモノ、動物はもちろん、食べ物など、すべてに神様が宿っていると考えます。

神道は多神教ですが、祖霊崇拝性が強く、亡くなったご先祖様は神様になると信じられています。

歴史は古く、日本の風土や日本人の生活習慣に基づき、自然に生じた神観念なのです。

現在でも、日本人の心に深く根ざしています。また、日本中に神道に属する神々を祭神とするを神社が、9万カ所近くあります。

無宗教と言われる日本人ですが、多くの日本人のハートに神様が宿っているという意味で、一神教とは全く別の概念であります。つまり、決して日本人が無宗教なのではなく神様に対する考え方が違うだけなのです。

神道と共に、日本に広く広まった仏教については別の機会に説明します。
